I'm a wood elf ranger of Tunare playing on Ragefire.
A couple of days ago, I tried this combine in my Feir'Dal Fletching kit (using the exact ingredients listed above), and received the message that I "fail to meet the requirements" of this combine. I've used the same kit to make Blessed Champion Arrows and failed a combine of the Faydark Thunderbolt, so I know I'm using the right kit.
Any clues on why it isn't letting me do this particular combine?

It's possible a dev set the recipe to work only when a particular expansion has opened up. The stats on the item look about PoP or maybe later.

It's possible, but the recipe for the Blessed Faydark Thunderbolt works (I have one). I just figured since the better one is in the game, the bow that is one step below would be also.
In the morning, I'll attempt a combine on Bristlebane just to see what happens.

The combine was successful for my Bristlebane ranger.
People were making this bow (according to the comments below) in June 2002, a few months prior to the PoP release (Oct 2002).

Out of curiosity, what is the fletching skill of your ranger on Ragefire and the one on Bristlebane? I know there are many combines that have a minimum skill requirement that aren't always listed on Alla or EQTC because the items aren't crafted all that often for someone to pinpoint it. However those usually give the message "You are too inexperienced in your craft to even consider attempting this combination " rather than the fail to meet the requirements one.

Bristlebane Ranger, Fletching = 239
Ragefire Ranger, Fletching = 215
On Ragefire, I've been successful in making the Blessed Champion Arrows (Trivial 335), and failed (did not receive the "does not meet requirements" message) one combine of the Blessed Faydark Thunderbolt (Trivial 335).
Both were using a Geerlok Fletching Tool (5% mod) at the time of the combine.
I guess they just failed to put this recipe into the TLP servers. No biggie. I was just hoping to make a bow for a guildie.
By far the most valuable website of information for the Fletching skill, including all of the Blessed Faydark bows, has got to be the EQ Rangers website. There's also a complete listing of what arrows you should make, the cheapest way to increase your fletching skill. If you have a Ranger, it would be highly beneficial for you to check out http://www.eqrangers.com/

Well i am level 8 and it takes good fletch to make it so i went to bought one and got one for 500pp my friend got one for 1 k also are these good price we got um?

Did Lord Karana get fired as the god of storms? All these "Tunare" only bows have names that ring of those that a Karana-only bow might have (Cloudburster, Thunderbolt...)

maybe cultural armor is undiscovered for karana yet /rolls eyes, heh the rangers under karana sure wish they prayed to a new god egh? oh well verant is preetty good at making a class / race combo pretty worthless, as a woodelf warrior i love seeing the message u've been stuned unlike my big buddies i know, i wish i could be "unstunnable" but i am a weak woodelf with 100agi that does me no good an 75base str =P oh well atleast full mithril has high **** ac with no good stats for a warrior besides some hp an dex, wow is that tunare ranger plate gear =\../seesh tell me about ripped

There's an even better bow... it's so nutty that even though it's GIANT sized, it doesn't even fit in GIANT containers.... (most likely bugged)... it's 30 38 with more stats and SVs too...

The "better" bow is the blessed faydark thunderbolt, which I completed last week on mith marr. Fact: the bow fits in Bag of the Tinkerer's and handmade backpacks just fine. If you plan on making one of these, plan on burning through at least a couple blue diamonds, as they are not trivial at 250.
The blessed faydark thunderbolt's stats are as follows:
Magic Item
30 damage 38 delay 250 range
5 strength 5 agility 5 dexterity 5 wisdom
50 hitpoints 50 mana
Deity: tunare
For all the work I wish they had made it 30/37, but who am I to complain. As a ranged slot item, it can't be beaten... poor Karana rangers. ;-)
