Iksar may be a chain class, but Verant NOTED that our plate classes had too few options for armor at higher level so they implemented the Planar armor AND included us in the Velious Quest armor.
Iksars don't simply feel shafted for getting weak AC... it's the fact that our culture has been getting beat with the nerf stick as if it was our job!
Iksars get at most 50 AC bonus at level 60... that is NOT enough to cover the difference between other plate wearing melee classes, especially the new cultural armor.
Iksar ONLY class specific quest weapons were made available to ALL races...
Iksar "Blue-Diamond" cultural armor has the same AC as Acrylia Plate and while decent for a shaman, not all pieces have Wis...
Iksar old cultural smithing now caps BELOW 189, hindering our smithing progress to begin with...
AAXP regen does not work for Trolls OR Iksar...
I didn't choose my character to be the "Ub3r3st and L33test b4d 4$$"... I chose it because they had the strongest willed culture (heck, they killed their own for blasphemy), and a very strong sense of loyalty to both their community and their heritage.
Why is it that one of the tightest, strongest cultures can make some of the weakest gear?

Oh man...
Im bored of all the posts... bla bla bla Verrant sucks and made Iksar SK compared to other SKs unbalanced. Beeing an Iksar SK i can only say to u all Dark Iksar Bro`s, you are wrong.
Didnt u know when starting this combo u cannot wear Plate armor till u reach the lvl u can get the Thurgadim Kael SS Armor or maybe some of the uber Luclin stuff ???
Didnt u know u have natural regen which makes u a better puller and soloer???
Didnt u know u have an AC boost ???
Didnt u know this is a very difficult Class/Race combo to play ???
I know sometimes it sucks when u see other SKs wear Armor ur dreaming off, BUT when u gain once ToV armor pahh what then heh ???
U have then the advantages other SK races dreaming off.. except Trolls maybe.
Man and every class/race have advantages and disadvantages, thats the way it is. It depends if u like your character to play or not ...

So stop whining, be proud and play or just stop it and start a plate SK class , if this is what you dreaming bout.

This is crap! I am so sick of Verant telling us the measely 12 AC we get is enough to make up for not getting decent armor. Have you guys seen some of the Human Armor of Qeynos? It is better than anything you can get in ToV or most anywhere else. This stuff they gave us wouldnt last beyond lvl 40 and sell for less than 1K in auction in EC. Do you know that on my server there are only 3 Iksar SK? The server has been up for over 2 yrs. I wonder why it is so hard to get to lvl 60 when they "give" us such nice stuff? Jack asses.

When i hear that new cultural was coming i got excited thinking MAYBE my Iksar sk can get some decent armor before i goto ToV, then i see this junk. Come one sure Iksars get the AC bonous but so do warriors of all Races, i'm not saying give us 60 ac bp's and 40 ac legs but give us a bit more then a 30 AC bp.
For an Iksar good ac gear is very hard to find outside the planes/kael/ss ect. I just hope VI rethinks this a bit before ******** the Iksar classes over yet again...

16ac? please...yeah stats are nice...but chances are even the shaman won't use these. and to someone who said these arent magic, they probably are :( or atleast i would hope so, as the other new cultural armors are magic (i think? correct me if im wrong).

Having a 60 Iksar warrior as my main it's finally nice to see some of the new trade armor popping up... too bad from what I've seen so far the ac sucks compared to the other items... I just hope the bp is a bit more comparable to the other races...
This is not good for warriors anyways.. You can't even kick a willowisp with it. Please don't tell me you're going to put this on your 60 warrior ok.

No its not, the bp is 30 ac.Its on the chain template like all the other pieces.Seems they had shamans in mind, the other two classes got shafted pretty bad.

Iksar cultural is NOT plate, it is chain. Iksars do not, as a general rule, wear plate. While Verant has loosened this on some of the high end armors, it certainly holds true for the original cultural. The "new" cultural armors are improved versions of the old ones. Therefore, Iksars do not get a "new" cultural plate, and it would be pretty darn unfair to other races to give them plate stats on their chain.
Compare it to the other races' cultural CHAIN and you will see that it holds it's own perfectly fine.

Iksar cultural is not PLATE or CHAIN... it' SCALE... Cabilis Scale Armor is our cultural armor and there's only an imbued version because Iksar reject the art of Enchanting... I think our gripe is the fact that the best that an Iksar can make, throwing our Blue Diamonds and Scale Temper into the mix, isn't even COMPARABLE to other races Plate Armor... and we don't even have another template... just this one "chain" template.. unless we miraculously missed a Plate version of Skyiron
/agree the chain template is screwed up as it is... but for 2 of the 3 usable classes, this is garbage for the skill required, and even our shamans can probably find better...

Chain Cultural as it is horrible and needs to be fixed.You can't compare plate class/chain raice to chain classes, it just won't work right, its way too much of a disadvantage.In which it completely cripples Iksar blacksmithing.
Why would it be unfair? isnt there Greenmist Armor(sk fear armor chain) the same ac as umbral(sk fear armor plate), with better stats? The ac is a tad lower, yet it should be in league.
Getting to the smithing skills to even have a remote chance at making these things, takes forever, and a ton of money.Yet its pointless here for a warrior or SK.
Seeing how iksar Cultural armor is on par with Plane of Fear armor ac wise, when all others are comparable to the Kael/SS area(depends on class).Thats a ridiculous difference.
Making a cultural armor that is pointless for the 2/3 classes is a joke(just too expensive), I couldn't even begin to understand how someone could think thats fair.Yes they get a ac bonus, but the bp and leg difference alone almost makes it up.
