Has anyone ever found a device to crush diamonds to make Crushed Diamond Dust. I have to believe there is some sort of device out there that is player made by gnomes (?) to make.

Was farming from chipped onyx from kobolds in the upper dogs in velks and two of these bad boys dropped of prophets in about a 3 hour time span!

My 55 Ranger has been hunting for this in the wakening Lands for the pass couple days. I have kill over 40 "a suit of sentient armor", and no Diamond Dust. Since Velketor's Labyrinth is now a hot zone is it alway over camped. Any suggestion on where I should be triing to aquire these item? Bazaar is not an option since it sells for 4000 on Stormm.

Thats not surprising, I kill all the mobs at both camps before the first camp repops which is 10 mobs every 20 minutes and see one CDD about every 3 hours. Thats a drop rate of about 1 every 100 kills, give are take.

While complaining for the 10 thousandth time about this drop on the EQLive Forum, I was told that the Crushed Diamond Dust is now, finaly, at last even a uncommon drop off of trash mobs in the PoR expansion. I haven't verified this anywhere, so don't get to excited yet, but if it is, then it will be allot cheaper and more available in bazaar soon considering how heavily the new zones will be hunted. Would be nice. We can finaly make Master Augments to match the Master Armor and the whole thing will be more worthwhile. Might even stabilize the price of GM Augs and Armor a bit when theres a lower level alternative for alts. Why put a GM Aug on a piece of Master Armor upping it to minimum 65 level when a 65 could buy 8 Master Augs for same price and gain allot more stats.

These drop off the Enthralled Bulthar in Siren's Grotto. I pulled about 4 out of there in 3 weeks time, hunting about half an hour a night.

These drop in Velks. I have hunted there for weeks. They only drop from the "crystal-see through" spiders and the "crystal-see through" gargoyles. it is a random drop tho, I got 3 in 1 hour on one day and spent 2 days strait without one dropping. A good place is the frenzy camp as you can take the frenzy for extra pp to buy up any in the bazaar. 7500pp was the lowest I have seen in 4 weeks.

A friend of mine mentioned to me last night in game that he believed there was a recipe now in game to turn regular diamonds in to crushed diamond dust? Is there any truth to that?

Just got this off one of the spiders in Velks Labrynth. Think it was a chrystaline watcher. We were up at the ramp near the top rares.

Best spot for getting crushed diamond dust I've found is off the golems, cubes and tentacle things under the ice in Icewell Keep. Got 2 in about 4 hours.

I spent 5 hours killing geonoids in WL yesterday and another 5 killing every siren in CS today and not one dropped. Can anyone please verify they still drop off the geonoids and sirens?

While doing the Erudite 3rd tier task in Siren's, I looted 9. That was about a 30 hour task to complete. They are a random drop as far as I can tell. I've been back there to farm for them and have only gotten 1 in 5 hours of clearing the zone.

I saw one in thurg on a vendor between some Icepaw items, so I figured I would give the village a shot in Velketor's Labrynth and it was a success ! =) Dropped in Velks from
an icepaw kobold.. and another from
a blizzard spider.
I got those two in maybe 6 hours time. They do have a tradeskill tag on them now also.

Now that it's used for DoN cultural armor, expect to see it for sell for 1k+.

I think the drop rates for a lot of DoN tradeskill ingredients (especially the ones that used to be vendor trash) have been severely decreased.
I hunted orcs and gathered almost 3 sets of raw-hide gear before the first raw-hide belt dropped. Raw-hide belt needed to get book for DoN molds

I think you might have been looking at the Diamond Dust. Diamond dust is used in at least one tinker item. This item I'm pretty sure is just vendor trash.

.....not much information here...just want to add it also drops in Sirens Grotto
seen it drop off of a siren priestess in siren's grotto. which is a fairly easy zone for a group of 60ish+ toons... but still a hard zone to solo in for a 65 mage.
I will be farming this for DoN augs as the mobs are good soloing xp *if* you can get them one or two at a time.
