Not trivial at 250

I am a grandmaster potter with 250 of skill and gearlok on the Prexus server. This item is not trival at 250 of skill. Finding a Quellious cleric to imbue topaz a pain.

As for the cost to hit 250, my guess is around 30k-35kpp

Yep, only erudites can be clerics of Quellios, and because of their relatively lower wis (erudites have high int, but not very high wis) not many people make erudite clerics. (All the deities erudite clerics can worship, erudites are the only clerics of; erudites are also the only race of clerics that can follow Prexus and Cazic-Thule. But ambers can also be imbued by iksar and troll shamans.)

This would be a nice item for a Quellios monk, actually.

pottery???

how long will it take to raise pottery to 250? and how expensive would it be? with INT of 200 and CHA of 120????

0 to 120 is easy for 20 plat or so, from there you gotta get skins and those get expensize, only at 150 myself cause I don't wanna waste time/money to get skins for poion vials

If you skip the poison vials and just make large bowls to 148, saves having to get skins. Not that much cheaper, but all items for large bowls are storebought (large block of clay + flask of water + glass shard + large bowl sketch). Then do the lined poison vials to 168... but skip sealed poison vials in favor of the cheaper to make casserole dishes to 199. The come the expensive items... would suggest opal encrusted steins to 222 (fire up your successes, they're easy to sell to enchanters, and will re-coup some of your expense. Offer to give an enchanter one and they'll probably lacquer some opals for you.) Past 222, it's REALLY expensive... once you get to golden idols, make the Karana ones, as they're the cheapest to make (though it seems on my server it's hard to find Karana clerics or druids to imbue the plains pebbles).
Monk Item/Freeport

/sigh
Monks starting in Freeport will not use this item, simply because, they are agnostic. Quellious Monks are based out of Qeynos.
And yes, it is rather, but in my opinion, Goranga Idol is a little better, and slightly easier to obtain.

Well first off, you got it backwards. Freeport monks worship Quellious, Qeynos monks are agnostic (on Sullon Zek Qeynos monks worship Veeshan).

Second of all this has overall better monk stats than a goranga idol, in my opinion. Raises AC, str, dex, agi, and hp; all the primary fighting stats for a monk. Has slightly less AC and hp than the goranga idol (but not by much, just 2 less ac and 5 less hp), but the bonuses to agility, dexterity, and strength more than make up for that.

And the only difficulty to obtain is finding the skilled potter (or being one) and finding the Quellious cleric to imbue the topaz. Goranga idol is arguably easier to get (and cheaper) but this has far better stats.

Daemora, all Freeport monks worship Quellious and all Qeynos ones are agnostic, please trust me.

And if you don't want to trust me, just create 2 newbies monk and come back here to make an errata to your post.

My Monk Worships Quellious and I started in Freeport. Also, I'm replacing my Goranga Idol for this because I think it is slightly better.

I am the one who made this, just to see the stats (mere coincidence that I picked my Monk to worship Quellious..lol). It was a little hard to find someone who could Imbue Topaz, and it uses some of the same components to make as other pottery items that I can sell for alot more money, so I won't be making any more of these in the near future.

Trivial is probably over 250. Not 100% sure though.

MONK ITEM! :D

No, I'm not kidding. Of course, the Monk has to begin in Freeport. If the required level is really 20, then this will be an excellent Pottery item. The prices will probably start sky-high due to the range-equip, though.

I imagine another reason they won't be very cheap is that they don't trivial until pretty high - generally 200+ pottery skill, I think. I have yet to actually meet anyone in game with a pottery skill that high (heard of 1 on my server...), but I'm looking. I crave a ceramic band to play with. ^_^

I have a new bard who follows Q and would love to buy one of these things for her. Wonder what the chances are of finding one for sale on Tunare server?

You'll never likely find them for sale, golden idols (other than Tunare's, for the POTC quest) are rarely sold in the Bazaar. Likely you'll have to find a potter with high skill, and pay them to make it (get an imbued topaz for them first).
