I was awarded this on Veeshan after a GM event a good while back. I was playing my 50-something magician at the time. Since the mod couldn't take me over my current cap, I gave it to my cleric who was around 20-30. After my cleric got over 50, I sold it in the bazaar for 36K. Go me. :)

I got this on The Nameless Server from a low level Druid who got it from a GM event. He said he got it for dying the most. LOL At the time NEITHER of us knew what this was or how rare an item it was. (I SWEAR!!!)

I traded him enough +WIS gear to get his WIS up 10 points (about 600pp worth, before Othmir Fur Caps were 60pp in Bazaar) and actually dropped my WIS by 2.

I almost feel bad, except it really was a good trade if you exclude the rarity of the item. And, well, the skill mod...which was useless to me til i hit 51. I was already maxxed. (IMHO - it's a silly skill mod: Any caster/priest class that uses, actually USES spells will sit and med enough in the first 2 or 3 hours at a new level to max the skill for that level. So, what's the point really? But that's just my opinion...)

I know I saw it in Bazaar as well. So, one can conclude that there are at least two on The Nameless. Someone was selling it for 17kpp. I about messed myself. I am considering auctioning this off when I have used it to max all my meditating characters.

PS: There is no graphic on it for Wood Elf Druids, don't know about others.

you don't see the point of having +15% medding?
if your medding skill is at 200, it would make it 230, which would probably be giving you an extra 3 mana per tick when you're medding. it would definitely give you at least 2 extra mana per tick while medding. and even without that, 7 wis/int and 30 mana is pretty decent for a head slot

This is a great item for lower levels, but once you reach lvl 50 all of the classes that can use this are maxed for their meditate at 250. This item would make their skill effectively 252, which mos likely does absolutely nothing as far as skill mods.

However, at low levels they can probably get 3-4, maybe more mana/tick with this thing on.

After that it's just a WIS/INT item till something better comes along.

Hey.. I am not sure why you said that it would cap at 252? Is that the hard cap for medititate? 15% of 250 though would make your med more like 287 or so.... please correct me if im wrong. Are you saying that it would be no good for a high level becuase there is a hard cap implemented?

Hard cap is 255, you'd never get to 280+med, but if you could have, it would be sweet!
When?

/sigh When did this event happen? I was on all week and I must have missed it the minute I had to log off for work. /cry
I got it

I got this on Seventh Hammer in a similar GM event. I was level 38 at the time and it has boosted my mana regen noticeably. Its a great item and for my level and class the best i can get at the moment. The 7 to int and wis is great for a head piece also 8ac isnt bad with an item that has 7int/wis and 30mana. I will probably keep this till i am well into my 50s.

On Prexus there was a GM similar to the one described by BastionAmici but to my knowledge only 4 people, including myself, got an item. I recieved Softbreeze's Circlet. 1 item named the "Gift of Innoruuk" I believe was given to a 31 ranger. The item had unlimited charges of Dark Elf Form. There was also 1 item given to 2 people. I don't remember the name of it but it was like +3 Wis +3 Int range slot or something like that.
Children of Darkness(3 items) Vs Bringer's of Light(1 item)
Who do you think was the better guild? :-D
Anyway I was taking offers and SEVERAL people said they'd pay 20k for it if they were 60 and didn't already have meditate maxed. I sold mine for 16500pp...hope that helps.

A report on a GM event that took Place on Cazic Thule on Wednesday May 15th

A battle between Good, Bringers of Light and Evil, Children of Darkness took place at the Gates of Freeport. Before the start of the Battle Knight Truheart called forth for players to join the Bringers of Light guild and lay waste to the forces that were approaching. Many characters of all shapes and sizes came forth to prove their allegiance to the light including myself. During this time, while roleplaying, I asked for and was granted some spys to be sent to East Commonlands where reports of the enemy were being sent from. This was confirmed as our spies reported that a Dark Elf General was calling forth Players of the Evil persuasion to come and join the Armies of Innoruuk and become his Children of Darkness. Once both sides had amassed their armies the CoD zoned into West Freeport and Began the Guild war with the Bringers.

The battle was long as the Children of Darkness found themselves protecting their General rather than attacking. They had not counted on the great number of Bringers that had amassed and with great teamwork and strategy and after a long battle the General of the CoD had been slain.

At this point Knight Truheart began summoning those players that had joined his battle since the beginning and who had helped to Bringers of Light the most in attaining their victory. Those who recieved rewards were Ointment, Faederya, Faedilist, Veschar, Timmyonous, Fineskin and Pcapone. Myself and Pcapone recieved the Guise of the Deciever mask, WHICH I LOVE!!, Faedilest, Veschar and Timmyonous recieved the Softbreeze Crown which had a 15% mod to meditation. Fineskin recieved a lusterous russet Breastplate and Helm and lastly Faederya recieved Lusterous russet Vambraces.

After Knight Truheart gave out his rewards Tilol, Thorikos and Lathia showed up to hand out other gifts and converse with players. Some killing still raged on at this point but many of the players had rejoined their old guilds by this point. All in all it was one of the best GM events I have ever participated in and I hope many more like this will be in the works. Also a special congrats to Faedilest and Fineskin who also were celebrating there EQ wedding day as well.

The event on Torvo was similar...similarly good and evil named guilds. However, the Bringers of Light attacked Neriak. I am happy to report that the Children of Hate triumphed. Congratulations to Darklance Demonblade on a fine necklace with +5 to all stats.
Good midrange item nonetheless

Apparently this was the reward on all servers for GM events, though I was under the impression it had a clickable breeze, and not a %age to meditate. (I could be wrong, as I am often.) On Torv last Friday, in Everfrost, this was awarded to a barbarian named Leydon (hope I got your name right :]) for sounding the call to arms as the Ice Giants began their march on Halas. The GM event was predicated by a raid on Halas itself by the Midnight Council guild. MC roleplayed beautifully, and apparently had prearranged their raid to occur in conjunction with the event. They did a great job killing the Halas guards, until Cappi (the rogue's guild leader) came downstairs and started BS'ing like, well, like a barbarian. Anyway, they apparently didn't get any reward, even though one of their own landed the killing blow on the Avatar of War, and even though the AoW was ninja looted by a naked barb.

P.S. to MC: I'm told that the loot off the AoW wasn't anything grand--I think it was called a Pristine Combine Long Sword, or something to that effect....doesn't sound all that fantastic.
Skill mods suck for high level players

The funniest part about this item is the fact that it's meditation skill mod becomes more and more worthless as you level.

Meditation is capped at 235 for casters until they hit level 51. Once you hit level 51, your meditation skill cap goes up to 252.

Since you can't have a higher "modified" skill over 252, the skill bonus on this item becomes comepletely useless at level 51 (or once your skill reaches 252).

If the skill mod gave a "virtual boost" over the cap, similar to the newer haste songs from Luclin, then skill mods would actually gain worth as you level.
If they "rolled over the cap", at 252 natural skill, this item would boost your skill up to 289 or a 2 mana/tick improvement over what you have at 252 med rate.

but its not no drop so would be very nice for your new twink wizard or other more-solo class that usually has to wait ages for the mana to return. I agree though that at higher levels, if what you said is true, this becomes quite useful apart from the stats which are quite nice :)
Great

Though I am a low level, it should have a recommended level on it which wouldn't, but "should" keep anyone below that level from gaining any skill modification from it.
