Ruins of Kunark
Deadbone Barley is foraged in Field of Bone (Ruins of Kunark) and Field of Scale (Seeds of Destruction).
It is NOT foraged in City of Mist, in fact City of Mist doesn't have any special items on the forage table.

Foraged one of these recently close to the northern most ramp in the pit; close to Kurn's tower. I was randomly hitting forage with my Ranger as I ran through the zone.
It's unfair to just slap these rare forage items on the beastlord quest in cabilis. First off they just double up on other classes drops including the mandible which is rare as hell for the first quest and then they require a race that fails a forage attemp 75% of the time to do a failable combine with this very rare forage item. They really need to rethink how they are making this game. The new mobs that spawn and drop stuff aren't even rare spawns they just come up every few minutes and drop the item for necro's 9th cap. I dunno who took these quests and screwed them up but they need to just back off and let the original kunark creators make them...
Was with a ranger tonight in city of mist--she picked one up for me, just sitting at the entrance.
Well, it's a RARE forage... but I did manage to forage it tonight near the newbie ramp in Field of Bone (+1500,+1400 is where I was standing).
Foraged a second one at +1000, +1600 (west edge of the pit).
Also, since merchants will give you nothing for it - you won't find any on vendors (although it is tradeable and stackable).

I am a ranger and know an Iksar who is going to make me a coulple Robe of Misery combines. I am sitting in FoB by the water working on fishing .. hitting forage whenever it comes up. I am wondering if I can be anywhere in Kunark and be able to get these. If other people are getting them in places other than FoB than that leads me to believe that it is either multiple zones or the entire Kunsark expansion.
I haven't foraged one yet but I will keep trying till I get one. I hope that it doesn't matter where you stand in FoB to forage one of these.
