I have no use for the acorns but need the leaves. After 1 hour I have 5 acorns and one leaf. I would rather gouge my eyeballs with ice pick than look for these,but now that I have 1,I must keep looking :(

ok i have spent 3 days trying to find these leaves either i'm completely misunderstanding what you saying or it broken cuz i can find them
You didn't specify your co-ordinances- are they from you mesa map or your greater fay map? very confusing
Success comes when preparation meets opportunity -- and EQ is no exception.
Mesa info
Evergreen leaf will spawn in 16 possible spots around the largest willow tree near Kathrine.
Acorns spawn in 5 possible spots on the east side.
Only 2 will be up at any time. Either 2 leafs, 2 acorns or both at once.
Spawn time for leafs can be anywhere from 1 second to 5 minutes but generally within 1 minute.
Acorns spawn time is about an hour.
Ducking helps see the spawns easier. Moving slow helps a lot as they are minuscule. Being short is even better, like a halfling. Turning gamma to 75 or higher helps. Turning off 1.1, 1.4, 2.0 and radial flora in options is extremely helpful.
After hanging around for 2 and a half hours I got 76 leafs and 15 acorn at the mesa. Finding them at Gfay is like looking for a black marble on a black floor...in the dark. You may get lucky but most likely not.
Leafs are for dyes that can be used for armor or green hand made back packs.
The back packs sell well in the bazaar due to their 10 slots, giant capacity and 10% weight reduction. Other colors have the same but green is harder to find than say...black. I made a good chunk of change since I am a 199 tailor. If your looking to sell back packs, there are easier colors to obtain but green goes with my gear color so I collected a lot in case I failed at making some.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you thought you heard was not what I meant.
Thanks that helped alot, for some reason they all seem to be floating, seeing the acorns is like trying to see a piece of paper from the side. After i turned off the pixels and jacked up the gamma spotting changes of color was alot easier. =)

I second that ... to explain: the options mentioned above (they're in the Advanced Options in Display page) make the ground look like a well-grown grass while turning them off makes the ground flat and muddy-brown. And on the brown floor you can see the green groundspawns very clearly.

Interesting distribution - the Evergreen Leaves were all on the west side, while the Windwillow Acorns were all on the East side of the tree.
Being old school, I decided to get one of these from greater faydark rather than Goru Mesa. Unfortunately I didn't find any at the locs mentioned, so either they weren't up or have moved since the zone was changed. In any case, from randomly running about I found two at (1340, -970) in Greater Faydark on top of each other. They had a light green leaf graphic on the floor, rather than the light green polygon appearance they did a decade ago. They're still minuscule however!

When looking for the ground spawns around the willow in Mesa, the Acorns are brighter green the Evergreen leaves darker.

i will confirm that this loc is correct... got 3 evergreen from spawn point today.....

if you are in first person mode in mesa around the windwillow tree it is far easier to see the evergreen leaves.
I agree. The area around the willow tree has two evergreen leaves and two acorn ground spawns. It's a very small area to search in and avoids messing around with /locs. (The willow area is by where Kathryn spawns).
I would hate that anyone has to search for these..

I'm not to smart so it took me about 4 hours to figure this out... The EASY way..
Go to Mesa.. in the AREA with Kathryn there are several large trees; go to the one that is LIGHTER in color than the others.. looks like there is a light on it or something but its clearly tan while all the others are brown.
type out /showgrass off
Log out of the game and back in.. be sure the only plants you see now are the sunflower looking Silverspun petals and the trees and any windwillows standing around...
Now on the ground... VERY tiny at the base of the lighter tree you wil see VERY tiny FLAT leaves these will either be Windwillow Acorns or Evergreen leaves.. they are REALLY hard to see they are are so small... I would describe them a one half of a green skittle sitting on the ground. Yeah stupid small.
Okay... loot all the ones you find.. I found 6 Acorns and looted them all.. I came back about 1 hour later and looted them all again and the 5th one it was the Evergreen Leaf.
GL and if you found this helpful please give me a good rating... Other people figured this out... and didn't post it... I'd like to save you a few hours.

I turned the gamma up to about 70 percent after turning off the grass. That made them much easier to see around the base of the willow in Mesa.

TYVM what a timesaver, I had been looking for these things forever. They were so hard to see.
Have not found any of the leaves at the spawn locations you mention, but I have found them fairly consistently at these locations.

U are correct in that turning the grass objects off with the chat command /showgrass off helps alot. I also maxed out the resolution in the OPTIONS - Display tab - video modes. This brought out alot more detail and the leaves and acorns stuck out like sore thumbs. They ground spawn within spitting distance from the "charm of lore" quest "silverspun petals" plant. (the red flower at the base of the tree). Well it seems that the Evergreen Leaf only spawns around the base of this tree. After 1/2 hour I have 10 leaves and 6 Windwillow Acorn. Gonna take a look in GFay see if I can find them there. Well just left GFay and did not find any there. After searching several of the locations listed in this thread, I came away empty handed. I have picked up a stack now in mesa on the dryad plateau so I would assume that they look the same in GFay. Well back in GFay with the leaves I got in mesa. Drop one on the ground and sure enough they disappear. After clicking the ground multiple times I picked it up. Dropped it again in another spot and they fade right into the ground. Will keep you all posted.

The easiest way to get these is to go to the Goru Mesa... okay... now go to the elevated area in which you would find that annoying fairy chick Kathrine...

At the base of this tree look DIRECTLY at the ground... and search for the leaves. They are very small and hard to see. Go round and round the base of this tree they spawn all over the place.

Oh yeah and they actually have PH's... some sort of Acorns. The respawn is 1 hour. On each trip around the base of the tree I would find 5-8 acorns or evergreen leaves... After three days of searching the green grass of Gfay and other zones I found this spot and scored 2 full stacks in a single afternoon.
Although... the quest I was working on... was very worth it... Dragoste effect PWNS.

Common my ASS. Ive looked at all the locs by eq traders, and near the pod in GFAY then in Mesa. ZERO. WTF are these things please!!!???

Found in Goru'kar Mesa at approximately -608, +52. I do not know if it is a common spawn point.

Could someone post some locs for these, cause I have been all over and there are none to be had. The locs on eqtraders seem to be no good.

384, -702, -18 - to the east and a bit south of the druid ring
Checked all the posts this was the only spot in GFay that I could find any. There were 3 or 4 in the area around this spot they are hard to find but not impossible they look like a single green leaf stay close to the ground and walk around you will find them.

I find them in Greater Faydark and Butcherblock Mountains when hunting with my Newbie toons there.

I found one of these in Greater Fay.

Evergreen leaves are converted into dye for armor by shamans or rouges. Used by smiths to dye armor. I sell them for 10 pp each.
