Nope, recent patch has updated this to "required level" instead of old "recommanded level"

My guild hits tormax all the time, if a ranger wants it no one is going to argue. I would think White Dragon Helm is prolly something most high end rangers will prefer till they get that pop helm unless they hit vex thal first for that other perty helm.

I would think that even casters/priests would want the White Dragon Helm, it's something for everyone.

you should get rid of the tolans helm as soon as you either a) get a velious quest helm, b) get the slime covered rubicite coif, or c) get helm of the tracker (tunare followers only) to say that 65hps is a drop in the bucket is the funniest thing I have ever heard, hps and stamina are a primary concern for rangers post 50.

for example I will use my base hps and my gear adds, I have over 1000 hps in gear alone, I add another 500+ with the stamina from my gear (not including the raw hps on the gear) my base hps with nd2 aa is 1707, my unbuffed hps add up to just about 3300hps.

so with those hps I live much longer to deal more damage during any given battle, full raid buffed I sit at 5300+ hps and thats pretty fair for a ranger, I know rangers that have 5700+ hps with having any VT gear.

yes I am more than willing to sacrifice ac for the sake of hps and stamina on my gear, until they remove the ac cap (rumored for pop) hps will always come before ac.

This may not be an ideal ranger item, but I take pause at your argument that 'the 65hps is not that big a deal, as most mobs can do well over that in one hit at this level'.

I've heard this a few times before, and it is really not a very good argument for a few good reasons. Though this item may have 65hp on it, and certainly a mob can deal more than 65 damage per hit at the level you could get this, they won't always (in an exp style situation).

A better argument though and the strongest one is that 65hp may be a drop in the proverbial bucket, but put enough drops in and eventually you'll find your bucket is full. 65hp on one item is fairly decent, honestly, because every 65hp item adds up. I am honestly fairly light on hp, but I have a 35hp ear, a 30hp face, a 55hp ring, 25hp gaunts, a 65hp ring, 75hp cloak, 15hp legs, 55hp boots, 40hp shield, and a 25hp range slot. I also have about 25 points worth of stamina gear. Now, let's add it all up:

35+30=65
65+55=120
120+25=145
145+65=210
210+75=285
285+15=300
300+55=355
355+40=395
395+25=420

I get 4hp per point of stamina approx so there's another 100hp. 420+100=520. So, all of a sudden I have another 520 hp stacked onto my 1600 base for a grand total of about 2100 hp. It really adds up overall much more than AC, which I've sacrificed a few points on (so my AC is 1074 instead of maybe 1084).
