Hiyas all ,just got this stats are updated ,good ones too,LOL only thing is it looks horrible on you,I had to dye it black cause it looks so bad,spet alot on it too was dissapointed it looked so bad thought it was mail but its leather,little pic shows mail but its not oh well ,looks good black lol,Leglayen 52 Ranger on Terew marr server :)

Just got this for my HEF Ranger, it has a leather look.

It's made from sabertooth tiger hide, therefore I would assume it would be leather.

But it also uses mithril chain weave so I would put my money on a chain look.

I am a 31 Woodelf ranger so obviously I can't wear this yet but I want a new BP or set of armor. Currently I have Sebilite Scale which is good stuff, but I kinda want something new before i hit 45 and get this... Any ideas??

And just why can't you wear this now? I am a lvl 40 ranger on the Torvonnilous server.. But the point is, it says RECOMMENDED lvl 45. It doesnt say REQUIRED.. Now I dont have this tunic but I am looking to get one. My friend has this tunic and he is lvl 38 ATM, he wears it too.
And since your a Wood Elf. You can wear it, because wood elf rangers do not get to choose a diety. The are automaticly "Tunare" or The Mother of All. Hope this helps!

Does anyone apart from me feel that the chain cultural chest peices are vastly out of sync with its plate counterparts? Plate wearer get an upgrade to beyond Kael quest armor in terms of AC for thier cultural chest. From about 45ac-50ac on quest bps to 51 on most plate chest but chain classes would need to downgrade from 37-43 on quest bps down to 30ac. I mean really 30ac? on and item of this difficulty to make hell buy a barbed tunic and save yerself 10k. Other items seem to be inline i.e. AC's comparitivly lower from plate to chain but 21ac difference on a bp seems a harsh. To the best of my knowledge the plate bps cost a lot more to create but hey give us the option...

I'm on the Torv server and have been looking for an elven tailor for a while now. Working on getting all the items together and doing the smithing and other parts myself. If you are capable of making this and are on Torv AND you dont mind doing combines for free send me a tell. I'd love to give you some practice :D thanks

Funny how this armor is Tunarean SCOUT armor for Rangers, and the Wood Elf scouts are Rogues. The Rangers are Faydarks Champions. Just an observation.

im praying this is a bugged and it will be fixed, god almost more then half the rangers are half elves. this will really suck if its not fixed though.

half-elves fall under the Human category for cultural items.
edit: Sorry.. assumed i knew what you were talking about before LOOKING... it's gotta be bugged.. that should probably read HEF ELF instead of HUM ELF. Humans should not be allowed this armor, and if you're a human ranger, DON"T buy it.. because you probably are gonna lose it when they catch the bug. (considering this is woodelf cultural tailoring)

Heyy.. sorry took so long to respond.. basically i was thinking humans should be excluded not out of any bias against humans, but rather by the way most cultural armor seems to go. Wood elf culture doesn't really involve humans in any way.. they're totally separate races, half elves do not have cultural tradeskills of thier own, so i think they should be allowed a shot at this.
Actually.. i should probably rephrase all of that.. but i don't feel like retyping it, so i'll just revise here.. I don't personally WANT the change for any reason, i don't think it SHOULD be changed to be not human usable, I just believe it was flagged human by mistake and WILL be changed. But i could be wrong.. just my opinion.
That said... buy barbed ringmail or engaved royal velium... Same AC, comparable stats, and a whole lot cheaper.

I don't follow your logic. Why should humans not be allowed this armor? This is a wood-elf cultured item, not a half-elf cultured item. I'm not saying half-elves should be excluded, but why would humans be excluded?

until halflings became rangers humans had the best stats for a ranger imho besides their ungodly pitiful looks and eyesight ;P

Curious as to how steep the dropoff in stats would be for a ranger at levels between 25 and 45. This will definitely be cheaper than the Royal Velium Field Breastplate (see http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12184),
as it's ranger-only, but it's not bad at all. Nice upgrade from Tree Weave, about as good as Barbed Ringmail or the Seb Scale Coat.

my bad i just woke up when i wrote that that will teach me heh
This is actually better than both of the Barbed Ringmail and Seb Scale, by a not inconsiderable margin. 40hp + 5 Sta will surpass the raw 50hp on the Barbed Ringmail, and the STR on this is superior as well. The additional stats are icing on the cake.
