Ruins of KunarkI started my epic when i was 45 all i have left is broken golem. Phinny was tricky cuz his budies came to join him (swirlspine guardians). I was able to take him down using hubbys characters. 65 mage and 65 necro. It was a crazy fight but we did it, he dropped it on the 4th kill and hubby looted it for me , it can be multi-quested. Good luck to the rest of you , pray for me on fear, ive heard there are some bugs if you've started before they entered froglocks in the picture.

I wish we could still kill Cazic Thule for this thing. Any guild would be more willing to kill that big guy with his loot rather than wait around 3 days clearing Plane of Fear in hopes the stupid Golem would spawn and not be KSed. I just got my Gnarled Staff after about 2 years and I'd like to get the PoF staff over with so I can concentrate only on Phinigel Autropos in Kedge Keep being that he is a 1 group kill if you get a puller that is great and a very short and timed respawn rate for an epic mob.

Where do you get this staff? I dont understand who gives it to you.
You obtain this staff by completing a certain part of the wizard epic. In this particular part, you first talk to Kandin Firepot, a gnome in Butcherblock, who tells you to find his Broken Golem in Fear. He hands you a sprocket to "fix" the broken golem with. When you find the BG in Fear (it's not always up), handing him the sprocket results in the golem going haywire, and turning into the Enraged Golem. An epic battle ensues. Enraged Golem, when defeated, drops the oil that Kandin is after. When you give the oil to Kandin, in return he gives you this staff and a note used to continue the quest. This staff is one of 3 that are handed in at the end to create the Staff of the Four, the wizard epic staff.

Im 50 and i got green oil, is me possible to start the epic? you hand in the 1k and the potion and all the way until i get to the turn in part.. i heard i have to be 52 to start but once i was 49 camin actualy talked to me when i asked "What are you searching for?" OMG HELP
u know one thing ive always wondered about with this epic.. why isnt it wiz/all .. lol.. not that it means nothing.. but errrr ya lol ok

Forget the saves... this is one of the three staffs needed for the wizard epic, the other two being the Blue Crystal Staff (from Phinny in Kedge Keep) and the Gnarled Staff (from Venril Sathir in Karnors)
When the quest is completed, you get the epic, which is 1HB, 20/30, STR +10, DEX +5, STA +10, INT +25, MANA +100, SV Fire, Disease & Magic +10, SV Disease & Poison +5. And casts Barrier of Force for free... I'll happily give up 20 vs poison and 15 vs magic for my epic!

/nod rofambaktu. Those of us who aren't quite ready to get their epic can take enjoy this item for the saves as well as the other nice stats it has to offer.
