You might notice the "Extraplanar Bane DMG" on the sword? That's Bane DMG against the old world gods, Cazic Thule, Tunare etc. Might even work on the PoP gods, dunno about that though.
That's why it's called the "Ssraeshza's Sword of God Slaying." ;)

I could use some advice. Currently my guild raids the Emp if we get to him first. We also raid the Cursed Cycle. Cursed can drop Goldenrod and the Emp drops this weapon. It's definitely not worth the dkp to bid on both items, and imo this sword is better than Goldenrod. Currently I have Sword of the Lost Crusades (from the Arch Lich). Should I bid on Goldenrod if it drops before this sword? Or should I be patient and wait for this sword to drop?

What a bunch of whining fighting children. The way I see it, if a weapon is able to be used by a Paladin, SK, Warrior, and a Ranger...then if it drops and all of them would like a chance at it, they should all get that chance. If Rangers or Warriors weren't meant to have this 2HS, then their class wouldnt be listed. If they want to be nice and give up their chance at it, good for them, that's very kind. If they already have uber gear and still want in on it, well they are obviously greedy and wont go far in a guild. But, if their name is under the class list they should have as much a right to it as the others should. Everyone plays the game differently and I hate being told I should use this weapon, or shouldn't use this skill. I'll play my way...not the most efficient way. This game is about fun, not stats and calculations.

Just to clear things up with the Rangers Vs. Knight class. Yes true a ranger would be able to do more damage with this weapon. But when guilds are gearing up their players they try to help out the classes that dont get the extra attack. Who would benefit more from this weapon. Ranger, sk, pally? Pally or Sk for sure, why? Cause rangers already deal a ton of damage so it is in this opinion that I would thing Rangers would get this weapon last. Get the playing feild a bit more even. A guild does not benefit from a few dealing uber damage and the rest being average to semi uber.

Not to mention the DPS on this weapon isnt really that fabulous compared to faster high dmg weapons available in the first few teirs of PoP anymore...(Greatstaff of Four Winds out damages this by a long shot .
This is a weapon for stats and effect, not a weapon for dmg output.

This is definately a non MT Warrior or Pal/SK item. This sword looks awesome! I saw it the other day in PoK it looks like a steel blade with ornate gold etched all over it. It does nice damage with a proc that doesnt have a lot of Hate charectoristics.. I'd love this on my SK alt

In my oppinion this item should go to a pally or sk. No war can maintain agro with a item like this and well rangers do a lot more dps with a elemental bow. Now i do not play on a PvP server and on Fennin we dont do open emp raids so its always a guild loot, and no guild i know will give this item to a ranger for a couple reasons. For 1 a ranger does much better dps with bow and AA's. and 2 when rangers melee they do much better damage with epic and another 1 hander because of the attack added by said epic. I rarely see a ranger 2hs, and never once have i seen one 2hs with ssra's blade.

as some of you will learn soon enough, elite rangers in the high end game rely on 2hs a lot more. DPS is much greater believe it or not than most bows with the proper AA skills. rangers have higher skill caps, higher attack rating etc etc. now imagine having an attack around 1900+ and wielding this as a ranger... mmm can you say uber DPS against walled/cornered mobs? im not saying that other classes dont benefit as well, and i also must say that personally i would rather be using a bow, but...... do the parsing, talk with some elite rangers, and remember RAN is on this weapon for a reason....

Ok first Of Dude Rangers DO more Dmg with Duel wield or Bow It's been proven Time and Time again. Even if your *** still belives you do better dmg with 2handers why i gods named would you want this over a PoP 2 hander And yes thier are 3 or 4 good 2handers in PoP you can get Before this. This weapon is for Tank stats 125hp 50AC and nice restances. Greatstaff of the 4 winds does More DPS then SoS so why you want this weapon again? DPS? Bull crap you just wanna look cool. This Should go to SK/Pally if you in a awarding guild.In DKP if your spending alot as a Ranger your a tard. Mabye anger3 augmentend this would be a decent warrior weapon. hahahha you could not have been more wrong. dps wise ,ranger epic is crap . bow damage rocks, but if a high end ranger really wants to top his dps, 2hand is the way to go(and some AAs of course .. punishing blade ,ferocity etc )

I would just like to say that this weapon would "eventually" go to a ranger. Yes the first couple of times it drops it may go to a paladin or an sk and even a warrior, but eventually a ranger would get this weapon. And no we don't use 2hand slashing weapons often, but we DO use it every now and then. I wish people would stop telling us about our EQ/AM3 and trueshot dis which lets us do more damage than every weapon out there. WE KNOW THAT ALLREADY! But we like to weild weapons to! Just wanted to say this because I'm sick and tired of seeing post about "This weapon will never go to a ranger because..."

I think being that you play on a pvp server that you would understand that even rangers use uber 2hs over duel wield and bows because bow dmg is 66% vs players and duel wield sucks in pvp. 100pt life tap is pretty good way to one up your oponent in pvp as well.

in pvp you want 2hs because of Damag sheilds. I myself can get 48 in DS, and it east rogues for breakfast lol. 1 big hit on me = 48 damge, 2 small hits on me = 96 damage. Thats if they are dumb and not annulling me, even so i have insta click coldain ring 9 to help keep my DSes up.
i have just aquired this sword...and man o man it is such a nice weapon ( PLUS ) the nice thing is with the paladin cleric AA. i get crit heals and also with spell casting fury sometimes i get super crit heals...
as of now it procs a 113 hp heal ( with advanced healing adept 1) and when it crits i get a proc of 225 hp heal...and when it super procs i get a 450 hp heal.. so when i get all that AA done the super proc should be a free 480 hit point heal.
In sol ro doing the mobs i noticed on most of the monsters i was procing around 400-1200 free hit points of damage.. the cleric loved it.. And yes this weapon rocks.. well to me it does :-)

Actually the extraplanar bane only affects old world death touching mobs, ie the old gods, which would explain the identification being "Ssraeshza's sword of God-Slaying" - or something to that effect. It has no effect on regular PoP mobs.

Most likely they would count this for PoP god, verant can be nice sometimes and pop is pretty damn hard place to be so im guessing yeah it counts them...even if so...its 61/42 againtst old gods...but i would rather have the GS of pesty 60/42 (more often....20 dis mod, so 60/42 against more mobs) more appealing to me, but then again i am an sk with them super lifetap proc aas, i would do like 7 or 8 hunred and damage that would be nice even against newer gods and it being like 54/42....and looks nice...there is beter but i would keep this over all for looks saves and such...but i dont know bout that GS of pesty :P ahh its only 25 ac ***** that get this bad boy i like it

And you're backing this up with..? "so sorry drive thru plz kk thx" doesn't show exactly how they would, I know a few SKs that do double damage of any ranger I've ever seen, and trust me, I've seen pretty strong SKs (700+ damage single, non-crit hit) Back up your opinion with facts, or otherwise your opinion is only meaningful to you.

This weapon will do more damage in the hands of a ranger than in the hands of an SK (assuming they have the same AA skills). The ranger will have much higher ATK rating because of higher weapon skill caps, higher offense skill caps, 55 innate atk, and better +atk self buffs.

But aren't SKs on a different damage bonus scale with 2HS than Rangers? I know certain melees classes(Paladin, SK, Warrior...not sure about Ranger), do a different scale of damage with two-handed weapons(more delay = more DMG bonus). And damage bonus is insta-damage, it's added to the 'random damage' that is determined by EQ mighty computations. Personally, I still think this should go to a Pali or SK, then a Warrior or Ranger(Warrior and Ranger equal because Warrior DMG bonus and Ranger needs the WIS)

before you talk about this go ahead and look at the skill caps in 2 hand slashing for SKs, pallies, and rangers. you'll see that rangers have the highest skill at 250. also the 2 handers that knight classes can use with PoP now are much better than this weapon. just because rangers duel wield dosen't mean they don't use 2 handers as well. notice that warriors duel wield but they use 2 handers as well. this weapon in the hands of a ranger will do the dmg of a knight class if not more. there is a ranger in my guild that has this weapon and he uses it all the time and prefers 2 handers over duel weilding. so next time when you mouth off about a class, do some research first

Not saying that ranger cannot use this. The point is Ranger mainly dual wield which is which most emp capabable guilds list emp sword for Sk/Pallies 1st. Very rare do I see a ranger win this unless all the hybrids have got this or something better

Ever think that possibly the rest of the guild had better? Although it disgusts me to see a flaming archer wield this as compared to an SK or warrior, I can't really complain either. Seen way too much Emp stuff rot just because noone wants to spend their DKP on them.

This blade gives me mixed emotions. To be blunt I think its uber and at the same time I think it sucks. In its plain self I like the ratio of Tunare's sword better. Im disapointed in the stats and resists on this one. Tunare's has much more of what a paladin and SK want. 50AC is a nice treat but nothing to do jumping jacks over. By the time you get this sword you should be at the 1250 soft cap anway. And I think the proc could be a bit stronger also.
Ok now that I bashed it let me praise it.
The type of proc is wonderful just the same way the Goldenrod is wonderful. A variety of stats. Good ratio. And then we add on the +7 extraplaner bane dmg and we have ourselves a 59/42. Heck thats better then the ornate greatblade or the blade of war dmg over dly wise. Im just not sure I would have to use this for myself to really get an opinion.

The flamberge from tunare is certainly a nice weapon, but unfortunately the root proc ruins it for most people.
Provided you actually were fighting a mob that isn't immune to run speed changes, when the heartwood flamberge procs, the mob turns to whomever is closest... and for some reason rogues and monks always like to have their heads right up the mobs' ****** In a place like BoT or PoTactics, this can quickly turn into a dead group, especially if it happens just as a mob enrages.
If the mob is immune (as most "boss" mobs are) to root then you end up getting a VERY large amount of aggro. You go splat because I can assure you that they're not going to break a CH chain to heal a pally/sk that can't control their aggro.
The 3 people in my guild that have the flamberge wish the arch lich would drop a blindfoe or sword of the lost crusades so they could have a comparable damage weapon for everyday use.

This vs Tunare blade isnt even close. The *root* (NOT snare) proc kills Tunare's blade...
Make no mistake about it--it can get better, but it just doesnt get better then this very often at all...

Well actually the best sword even when SoL was around would have to be Palladius Axe of Slaughter. been around since veliuos but much harder to get now the Vulok is a rign type fight. Anyway just thought I would throw this one into the mix along with the BBB.

AC over 1250 or even 1700 is very useful in PoP
I'd still pick the Blade of War over this easily, then either the Bloodied Berserker's Blade or the Petrified Heartwood Flamberge. The procs are better if you are tanking or even if you are pvping. Being able to proc a damage shield or snare would REALLY come in handy at times...and the rest of the stats and ratio are sweet as hell to boot. All depends on the availability of the weapons though. I see this being much tougher to get than the PHF though. And possibly a lil tougher than the BBB, with the BW being the toughest.

PHF procs *root* not snare. That makes it sawk for managing aggro. If it procced snare it would be much higher on the list, hehe. BBB is pretty solid though, the damage absorb factor + the aggro of casting rune spells are great for tanking.

The Sword of Ssraeshza looks like the Nature's Defender. Doesn't look anything like what you posted
That's the Sword that drops from Aerin Dra in the plane of Valor, Emperor sword looks nothing like this

If Knight, that is sword from dragon in Valor. If that playeris warrior, then sword if from Pig Farmer in Tactics.

This sword has been around for a while and noone has posted a pic?? Well if you've ever seen the Tunare worshing paladin quest sword from the Velious era, then you've seen this one too. They look just alike. Big, gold hilted ******* sword with notches in the blade. Very pretty weapon IMHO. Too bad it looks like a relatively easily (relative to killing Emp I mean) quested sword.. Would have been nicer if it had its own unique graphics.

I won this sword last week and this has to be the best sword a paladin can get. Hitting from 300 to 500 and critical hits from 400 to 600. Never once have had the lifetap resisted. This is the sword every paladin or sk should shoot for.

When i saw this sword's name, i thought it to be just another named sword, althought now I see that it ranks up there with Primal Velium, If I had this sword, I would kill Each and Every last Sarnak, Froglok, Giant and Dragon that has infested Kunark
This 2her more than ranks. It is what every other 2her would asipre to be if they could aspire. Let's not forget to mention it has a built in Velious BP, insane ratio and bright future with Extraplanar Bane dmg (think PoP).
I would go to Rivervale and kill them all, even though it would hurt my faction. I would only kill them because they are so corny, they need to ruffed up a little, then I would go to Kelethin, (my hometown) and kill them all too, just for building the city so high up that I would fall off from being drunk, or due to lag.
Then I would attack the POD in Greater Faydark, dont know if I would live, but it would be fun.
