A Must Have Item
# Jan 19 2010 at 9:01 PM Rating: Decent
This does indeed drop off of a razor fin piranha; one just dropped for me today.

There are two areas where piranhas spawn, so make sure the clear them both out.

Greenblood piranhas and large greenblood piranhas are their placeholders and I believe they have a 20min or so spawn time.

Good Luck!

Finally, VI gives us an epic weapon worth getting! =P

Although, it might make more sense if it gave some sort of magic resistance, because if you're taking on some mob and chugging the ales while you fought, you'd reach a point where you were so bombed that you'd be immune to any type of mind-affecting spells (e.g. charms!)

I could be wrong, but when I get plastered women start to look a hell of a lot better. Smiley: inlove Possibly think there should be +SvC on it for the fact that brew ALWAYS heats up the situation, but a -SvM would make sense...of maybe just a weakness to charms.

For all of those not paying attention, it's been nerfed. Look at the item description above, anything catch your eye yet? Here's alittle hint:
Recommended level of 51. I could be wrong, but that means you have to be level 51 to use the item.

Nope, RECOMMENDED level just means the minimum level you have to be to get the full effect of the stats. You can still use this below 51, but the stat effects will be lower. You can still summon ale with it though.

REQUIRED level means you can't even equip the thing before you reach that level. Nightmarewood Compound Bow is a good example; the recommended level is 61, required is 46. Below 46, you can't even put it in your range slot. Between 46 and 60, you can use it, but won't get the full effect of the stats (range is less, damage is less, str, etc.) At 61 you get all the stats it has.

A level 1 can still use this to summon ale, but they won't get the full str, sta, hp, and sv poisn out of it (likely just +1 of each). As they gain in levels, they'll get closer to get the full stats, until 51, when they'd get the full damage, str, sta, hp, and sv poison that's listed on the picture.

Why can't I get a break, just this once...
# Apr 26 2002 at 2:58 PM Rating: Excellent
This is so not fair. I quested for the stupid Disciple of Brell Symbol necklace just for the right-click beer. I'm a dwarven cleric, I'm supposed to be drunk 98% of the day (the rest, i'm peeing it back out), and I can't use this? dude, this would be the ultimate RP weapon for any dwarven class. ARG!! VI Screws Us Again!!!!

Great item though...=)
RE: Why can't I get a break, just this once...
# Jun 10 2003 at 5:14 PM Rating: Decent
Our symbol is still far superior to the few items with the summon ale effect. They are only able to summon a single ale at a time; meanwhile, Brell blesses us with a full stack per cast (and a shorter cast time).

So next time you plan a wedding, don't forget to invite your local dwarven cleric. Smiley: boozing

Aye, laddie, I think it's -becuase- you already have that nifty symbol. There's others here who follow Brell and are unable to use that nifty necklace on account of not being Clerics, si it's only fair that they include a devotional rite for us as well.

Castable....
# Apr 26 2002 at 11:56 AM Rating: Default
They'll probably patch this to make it castable. Doesn't make much sense to have a weapon proc ale...

It's like the Embalmer's Skinning Knife that summons band-aids while fighting, I would think. Nothing like a cold one in the middle of a battle, I always say.

I guess it's like a big bar room brawl... you beat on em with a mug, start tossing some chairs, and start making mobs toss beer bottles at you and you keep em to drink =)

#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 25 2002 at 4:05 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) do you spill the ale in the stien?

RE: Its triggerd, not a proc
# Apr 25 2002 at 3:46 PM Rating: Decent
This confuses me. Allakhazam says triggered, but the SS says combat (i.e. proc). Which is correct? I would assume the SS, though that seems a bit whacked for an item. Then again, a 10/24 stien that summons ale is pretty wacked to begin with!

This site is wrong on trigger method on a regular basis. :) The picture is right 99.9% of the time.
