I have to agree and disagree with what everyone has said.
Yes this is a fantastic weapon for a Rogue who doens't have the Ragebringer. Keyword in that sentence was ROGUE. I had the Fungusbeast Spine and I backstabbed for about 350, with the R.S.P.F. I maxed out my backstab in PoI at 447.
Yes it's a slow weapon, but the backstab button still pops when it pops. Pre-Epic this is the hands down best weapon if you want hellatious backstabs.
If you are a warrior or a shammy, this things stinks.
The Fungusbeast spine (13/28 +2 disease) is very nice, but you have to understand that there is the possibility of a resist, so you aren't always getting that 15 damage.
Speaking from a rogue who has used it, it rocks, I can't wait till I get the epic to have the juicy stats to go along with the big backstabs.
P.S. you hit a mob for 450, it turns around to see what did it LOL

I did even know there was a 15dmg porker that was dropable. I Saw a 14dmg butt that was selling for about 13 to 15K. Anyway I see this guy selling it in market, a 15dmg poker that rogues can use so I send him a tell. Ended up getting it for 2k and Mith arms. Pretty good deal I think. Old best BS was only 309 with a 13dmg, and with this its been 375 I think, unbuffed to. 1 fight in Kael I hit 5 backstab in a row for over 300dmg each..Anyway my point is that I got it, and it works great (spite being a lil slow).

Err i can't think of a better primary for a pre epic rogue, and not all rogue got their RB at 51, far from it.
Except perhaps this 13+2 diseasedge that drops during caller quest in FG though, which is a bit faster than this one, and droppable and equipable at lvl 1.
BS damage increase is not linear, you know and there is a BIG difference beweeen a 13 dge piercer and a 14 one, and the difference is even bigger when going from 14 to 15.

Even though this weapon has no ac, no modifiers but 15/30 with full haste on raids, that brings it down to about 15/20. I would definitly use this in my offhand to control agro. Not every warrior is in the spot light and have to switch to 2handers to make sure they don't get agro. Slower the offhand and more damage is geniune to fill in the damage the main tank can't do since he is defensive mode. /sigh All you can think about is the people in the spotlight. Get a grip, you ain't there.

Begging your pardon my friend, but you're missing a few very, VERY important aspects of this weapon! It's ROG usable. It's a 15 damage weapon. It can be equipped in the primary slot. It's droppable.

No one at this level of the game is going to use this. Not if you have your Epic at least. This is a total hand-me-down/lowbie sale. I would've loved to have had one of these at some lower levels.

OK, so I didn't see the Recommended Level thing. Hmm =/ Apart from that, well, agro issues are a problem, but I think I could find a better weapon to use than this if I wanted to avoid agro (something with stat buffs) I have agro issues at 43rd level, mostly cause of SSoY proc, but it's not too bad with a 2 ratio weapon. As an offhand, take a Centi LS. Piercer/Piercer isn't that great of an idea considering (until piercing passes slash). This doesn't have any stats anyway, so what's the point in using it offhand as opposed to a 2 ratio slasher with stats (see: Centi LS or something like that)? I use Piercer/Slasher and probably will untill I find 2 superb piercers.

Hate to burst your bubble. But when you sit down and think about it, a rogue with this in their off hand is still pretty decent. Yet another point, the higher the delay the more potential for a tank to out taunt you. At 15 dmg your still getting insane bs dmg, without the general high taunt factor of the faster weapons. This can be very very handy in groups where the tank can't out taunt a rogue. Especially when your evade fails.

I am not sure why you are saying 'untwinkable', it is neither lore or nodrop. If the stats are to be believed it is only magic and would be a great twink item.

This item is twinkable, as any low level character could obtain and equip the weapon. However, a low level character would not *want* to equip this weapon. It has a recommended level of 51. The further you are *below* the recommended level on an item, the worse the stats get. So for a low level character, say around level 10 (when rogues get backstab!), this would be more like a 31 delay 5 damage weapon. Needless to say, 31del/5dmg is roughly the equivalent of a rusty weapon, and nobody who could actually go loot this weapon would use such a horrible item on a lower level twinked character.
Of course, this doesn't even begin to describe the argument of "This is what they recommend we use at level 51?!?"... :)

I bought one at 47 and was unable to equip it <shrug>
If this is anything like the Silverfang club, it is NOT twinkable. I got a Silverfang club(10/17 HP+75 wt 0.0, recommended level of 51) on a guild raid of Cazic when I was 50. I was UNABLE to equip it until I dinged 51. Since this piercer has absolutely no stat/save modifiers whatsoever, I'm inclined to believe that it is also unequipable until level 51...
It would seem this might be actually a really nice Rogue Piercer. Not sure what a high level rogue does with respects to backstabbing, but I could see someone swapping this in for a BS and then back out, using a better weapon primary than this. I think this may be the highest damage main-hand piercer I've seen to date, although there's got to be some equivalent or better out there.

This is a decent enough weopon for a 51+ rogue without epic to use in primary. I was 60 before I got RB, and a Baroness, but I went from 50 to 60 in like 7 weeks, so raid organizers were having trouble keeping up with me for scheduling General fight ..., so I would have used this in primary over the 12/25 (+15str) hardened bone spear I had, lol. There are many rogues better equipped than I was, many who would have had no use for this at all, but it wouldn't generate a lot of agro, and would give a rogue epic damage potential from backstabs, pre-epic.

The rogue epic Ragebringer is MUCH better than this is, damage/delay and stats. Check it out on the search engine.

Yes, BUT, until you GET ragebringer, this is a very respectable upgrade to a crystalline spear, or a thunder runed warspear (both 13/30). stats would be nice, but to just swap out for the backstab, and then toss back in the trak tooth, this isn't a bad weapon at all.

EHEHEH well i must say ... my rogue has been using a 13/26 piercer in primary and a 12/29 in secondary and had no troubles at all .... yes this weapon woudl be an excelent upgrade till epic finish. Even with these two low dmg high delay peircers i out agro some lesser equipt warriors ie those who choose lammies, and Centis over higher ratioed weapons ...
lesser equipped war would consider ratio over delay. best conceivable war weapons = pair of 1hs 0/1 that proc any aggro increaser (EB, stun etc)
