quest is working as it always did on Agnarr progression circa 2017
The Menkes Tabloet quests, while junky, have a purpose. They give Qeynos Citizens faction, but more importantly, they teach the noobs about questing. Most of the item Menkes sells can be gotten at level one. The rat cape is a little harder because the mobs that drop the giant rat pelts are higher than that, but the pelts can be bought in shops in Qeynos, Qeynos Hills or Surefall Glade for a few copper, and even the noobs can scrape that up easily enough.

hey man, think about this.
If you were level 1 you prolly aren't gonna have hundreds of pp to spend on a necklace, this is a pretty simple quest and gives them something decent to help them survive. Just because you might be a lvl 35 watsit and can do nya and nye, doesn't mean just because you think this thing is crap, newbies will! think about it =P

Are you that narrow minded that you can't see that this would be a great item for a level 1 noob with no contacts or cash! The worst thing that I suffered as a noob was POISON and with this you would have a less chance of being hit by poison(however small of an increase this is) So in closing why do people always have to just post THIS IS CRAP! Well you guys apparantly bought your accounts on e-bay or just can't remember your noobie days! In closing...if your low level, not a twink, and want to earn your gear, This is a great very low level item, so get your snake fangs a 2 gold and get this!
Totally agree... considering this only cost me 6 silver, it's an amazing item (compare that to what a silver malachite ring costs, with the same amount of poison resist.) My new cleric, starting out on Sullon Zek, can't be twinked by my main on Sol Ro, so have to start from scratch. Making my Prime Healer Initiates armor... and came across this shopping for components, nice for the price.
