Yesterday a swarm of these suckers showed up in SRo on Mayong. Friend and I killed a seemingly endless number of them. We ended up with about 350 silks and they dropped about 2 each on average, so we must have killed about 175 of them best guess. No idea what triggered it, or if it was some obscure event or what. Hope they are still worth some plat.. :)

Can confirm everything in this post. Only change is that you can get 2, 3, or 4 terrorantulas as one of the spawns, not just 2 or 4. Otherwise this is 100% correct. I've been able to farm hundreds of terrorantula silks in less than an hour using this method.

Terrorantula is one of the alt spawns for the Acient cyclops. It has all the same placeholders , sand mummy, rattlesnake, "named" orc ect. See the AC camping guides everywhere for a good start. Killing Terrorantula causes alot (20 ish?) "bloody" terrorantulalings to spawn instantly where it died. They scatter all over the lower zone. Its quite a sight.

you get him to spawn by killing the mummy in the tower when he is up. he is the PH for the terrorantula.

two of us today found mob of over 60 of the things bunched on top of each other near the wayfarers camp.
Price checking, the merchants were giving 3pp but reselling for 60pp. Other zone merchants were doing the same.

i just killed terrorantula about 5 mn ago.
he is a tough spider and to a halfling he looks downright huge. he dropped 7 terrorantula silks and a gargantuan tarantula leg. best luck to anyone trying to kill him. he conned red to me at lvl 33.

Does anyone know HOW to get this thing to spawn? I stunned every spider in South Ro until I had a big ole train following me...that way I could just kill them all at once. Anyway, after doing that a few times, I was disconnected from the server. Is that a system glich or just coincidence on my part? Anyway, any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Today, we found one dropped from a terrorantuling in sro. It was substantially lower level than terrorantula, but still harder than most mobs in the zone.

Hunting the AC in Sro again and came across this thing. I can say for one thing that he hits hard for his level, but in the end My friend and I made short work of him.

I don't think a full group of lvl 20 toons could take the Terrorantula. He hits really hard. He's harder than an SG. Just my thoughts.

I believe they changed the level required for this stuff since they put in Terrorantulings (baby terrorantulas, awww, so cute ^,^), being as Erudites were going nuts, the big mama being so rare.
