This dropped for me about 2 months ago from the Gnoll High Shaman. It now has a focus effect, extended range I.

This item is not worth the effort to camp it. I have had many characters in BB, not once seen it. Dont go there just to think you are getting a nice +3 cha neck. A split paw tooth necklace is cheap(since it is lore) and gives more cha. next to that, im pretty sure that the high shaman is a rare spawn, becuase i havent seen him at all.
bottom line: its a nice item if you get it(mainly the name), but dont camp it.

I have looted this off of a gnoll high shaman corpse that someone had left (for what reason, I do not know), so it is very real.
Maybe they changed it in a patch, but trust me, these do not exist anymore. If they ever did, they do not now. I hunted in bb for 7 lvls, trust me, I did a lot of hunting in green room as well as clover, never saw one. Not one. And I went back there recently to wipe them out, still not one. not on any weird spawns like high shaman, or refugee, or trannix, or even the named shammy.

i don't know about you guys but i did a raid with 5 other people on the karana server and i looted like 3 1 from a shaman and the others from elites people really want these i get good prices for selling this necklace.
unless you sold them right after you looted your full of hit. =)

For anyone who still cares, I got this last night while farming BB with my 31 Warrior. Dropped off a MoB called "the Gnoll High Shaman" who spawns in the Commander Room closest to the Snake Ledge. Being a low-charisma Barbarian, this is useful for selling and stuff at lower levels. Of course there is better stuff... Splitpaw Tooth Choker has +5 Charisma and +5 SV Poison... but good for a newbie with low charisma.

It is possible this drops off the shamen because ive never killed him. But i definately know this does not come off an elite gnoll.

Patience children....I got this item off of a gnoll high shaman. Kill all the 'gobs' of elites you like, you won't get this form them. High Shaman drop only.

I have killed MANY elite gnoll guards in BB, and never once seen this item.

I have to say that I agree. Unless this came off of the test server, they are a little different there. i have killed GOBS of Elites, and neveronce got one of these.
