Shadows of Luclin
My guild twinked me (39 Mage) with a Netted Kelp Tunic from Sirens Grotto and I am still thinking of questing this.. Give up 2 int for a coupla AC (I solo a lot, and get aggro sometimes by mistake), and get rid of that -10 charisma which wacks me every time I sell and forget to take it off. Keep the Tunic around for fire situations..

Woot.. Got it. At 45. I sort of quit hunting Twilight after they nerfed KEI, and spent a lot of time in Tenebrous right outside Katta, hunting the aliens there. The placeholders there drop Windstones, Essence of Wind, Acrylia, etc.. And there is a zone handy. Maybe if the Warders in Twilight dropped some good stuff, more people would hunt there.
Anyway, went back tonight.. Died once by getting swarmed.. Just hunting Warders, hanging out on the west side zone wall, when I targeted a wandering blue alien below. I nearly fell out of my chair when it showed Vas Ren Waterlord! Pet 90%, Mana 80%, GO FER IT, hope I don't get an add I don't see!
Yah, ya can go on a Hate raid (in one more level, and hope your piece drops).. Yah, ya can go hunt the Kael Arena and hope your piece drops.. but this is not too bad for the level.

aye for stats this is actually a decent robe to quest, but it still really doesn't stand out from all the robes that are available from PoP an LoY, if this was a Old World cloak then the answer would be yes i mean to behonest int on a robe anymore isn't a question most pieces that are 1k-3kish all have 10int on it, its more of getting a robe with int hp and mana with sta an nice ac on it , those are the new ones you got to get a hold of so if i were to pick this from either a free netted kelp free blood weave or one fothese this would be picked since it fills almost every spot of what is needed...decent ac 8int 10hp 20mana which would make this around a 11int robe, /shrug nice robe

This is a very good robe good stats its like froglok bonecasters robe but this is just for mage.
This robe is nearly identical to the Robe of Melding Auras. Only this robe has 2 more int, 5 more AC, while losing 5 mana, and 15hp. The Robe of Melding Auras is a 5k robe on Drinal, this robe is FAR easier to get, and I think it looks much better. Offhand, I'd say that for those of us who seldom raid, and are in the normal small guilds, this is a great robe. I'd take the extra int and AC over the RoMA anyday. I wonder what this robe would sell for...

I agree that this is a great robe for people whi don't want to pay the major PP for other robes in the Bazaar. I have been looking for the final piece for this robe for awhile now the vial of purified water, can anyone give me a idea on where to find the creature in the TS zone ? Have been looking for awhile with no avail. Its not the best robe in the game but not the worst by far and I would love to have it...

Like it matters, Everquest has become a pissing contest. The ONLY thing that matters is how uber your equipment is. Roughly .0004% of people realize that everquest was intended to be a ROLE PLAYING game. I have several characters on innoruuk and one on Firiona vie, and have met a total of 4 people who roleplay. The entire concept of the game is now "get the best stuff". Dont get me wrong, i'd like to have nice equipment, but unlike most, thats not the entire point of the game for me.

This is not that good of a robe at all. For the level required to do it (45+) and for the time committment to get all the quest items. At level 45, you will atleast have Froglock, Tolas, Tserrrinas, or many other robes that are better. Bah...thanks Verant for nothing. Basically, all the mage quests on lucin really suck!

Not everyone farms all day so they can buy the best gear in the game, alot of players actually play the game, do the quests, and never once go to the auctions to improve their charicters

Its not a bad robe. LoL I am still wearing a Blackened Crystaline Robe at 51 and know several other 50+ casters who are not wearing better than this. I am not saying it is or is not worth the effort involved, as I have not even started this quest, but the robe is not a bad one.

Well also not all of us on the PvP servers can really go to lightie lands and farm without being killed by several lights and having them corpse camp you and same with lighties you can't exactally expect to go into dark lands and expect to get things from there...

This would actually be worth doing the quest for on an established server (unless you had a better robe but 15 ac and 8 int 20 mana is pretty darn good)
