These drop all the time and we don't always have an ikky shammy on the raid or in the zone to loot them. Can they be MQd by a non-shammy? (I am Iksar Monk)

These can be master quested so this may be a good way to get the item if you can't easily field a group to take down Venril.
I assume "master quested" means the same thing as "Multi-quested". So, yes.
However I would like to point out that other races can do this quest with a bit of faction building, an illusion potion here and there, and the coorperation of an ikky shammy noob to MQ the first cudgel. At least that's what I'm working on ;-)

It is dropped off of VS Remains (and apparently off of VS also)
It is for a Shaman only weap.. skyiron cudgel of the ancients (or something like that)... a VERY nice weapon, almost comparable to an epic. I believe the weap is all shaman races however you may need to be a lizzy. I am not a shaman so I am not sure.

I believe you do need to be an iksar. I've heard that the bone chip quest doesn't work anymore once your Legion faction is maxed out (it may have been another of the factions though), so Scaled Mystic faction will never proceed past indifferent. To do the cudgel quest, you must at least be amiable.
Some of my details may be wrong lol, but I've heard from a few barbarian shamans that wanted this and couldn't get sufficient Scaled Mystic faction.

The effect the above poster is referring to is a Bug that was fixed quite a long time (even before that post). Now, with the Explorer Knives quest, a Shaman of any race can get the necessary factions - just beware the the Necromancers, the Banker, Haggle Baron Klok.

This dropped off of a mob in the same room as Venril Sathir, and someone said it's for an iksar shaman quest, though more info than that I don't know.
