The best way to get the surveyor pop. Is to take one of the smaller the caves and clean it out. then wait for it to respawn. doing this I got a rare every 2 or 3 respawns.
Very nice belt. Can anyone tell if these guys are on the same faction as the primates inside FG zone?
No other faction hits other than Bloodtribe faction.

this is the rare drop off the Bloodtribe Surveyor. killed him a few times in my days in Scarlet but never had this drop, always some cheesy crap. too bad, would have been a nice upgrade to my crystaline belt :(
and btw, about these drops being better than planar: the Surveyor is a random rare mob that pops in place of any bloodtribe, so you could be there murdering the little jerks all day and not get this guy. he might pop right next to some other group who would get the kill, and even then the odds of him dropping this are not good.
the good drops from these random luclin mobs is more a matter of luck and perseverance than just showing up with your uber buddies and farming one. spent 41-49 in Scarlet and never had this drop for me...

.. all the dribble aside, who drops this thing? There are some "special" sun lords, which may drop some belts, I don't know whether this comes also from them? Anyone?

As you might have guessed, it comes from a Bloodtribe Surveyor, just look at the Bestiary

May tunare watch over ya cause with a comment like that you deff gonna get flamed :) least ya didnt make the weight .001 or we would have monks claiming it was a monk item only :)

BAH BAH BAH!!! damnit i wish they would stop making these items with stats that completely destroy the point of ever entering a plane. Girdles of the diligent to never be looted again=P btw this is nice.=) hehe i just wish that every expansion didnt have such a drastic increase in item power...next to be released :Ring of Unprecedented Power: 100 ac 100 wis 100 int 1000 mana 1000 hp 100 sv all effect complete heal (instant cast) unlimited charges, level to attain 1.=P i can see it now...ack my eyes are burning! LET THE FLAMES BEGIN!!! woot
Considering that you need to be near-Planar level to even survive very long in the Scarlet Desert, and Planar level-plus to hunt well there...
