a) It seems the Illusions are not random, they follow a pattern :
1 Illusion: Troll Pirate male
2 Illusion: Troll Pirate female
3 Illusion: Gnomish Pirate male

5 Illusion: Dark Elf Pirate male
6 Illusion: Dark Elf Pirate female
7 Illusion: Ogre Pirate male

then it starts over again with 1.

This is the reward for finishing all Saviors in T1 of CotF (partisans/mercs/hero missions). You do not need to finish collectibles, challenges, or any raids.
