I don't see a use for this....it does not seem to have a function or benefit.
I am not a mage. Or a necro or shadowknight. Or a druid, shaman, or beastlord.
Now I can have a persistent pet as well as a mercenary.
Granted it's an enchanter's style pet, only command it hears is /pet leave,
but cheaper to have around than a mercenary and better than nothing for gray XP zones.
(I got this explicitly for The Warrens [Puttin' On The Dog] and classic Blackburrow, [BBBBBAAAARRRKKKK!!!!!])
Aaaand, I'm wrong. If you don't have a pet then this only summons a familiar. Useless in combat.
