I made DE war and getting that shield proved impossible!! One of the items to make it is like RARE... that is until they finished the quest. Verant has a problem of making questing without adding the rest of items needed =/
this gives newbs a chance to learn about quests, it also has a reasonably rare drop for the components. and it gives them something to strive for from lvl 1.

I understand that this is a n00b quest and all but the class/race restriction is stupid. Think about it:
If you want to do the quest you'd need to be somewhere around 5, Warriors, (I think,) get duel weild at 12 or 14.. something like that. Thanks to the last patch levels 1-10 FLY BY..
So, even IF you do do this you will only have this for an hour or so.
IMO they should have made it droppable. Maybe if the n00b could get 2pp of it, it would actually make the quest useful.

Actually, when the warrior gets duel weild he can just pop this shield into his back slot, because most genuinely new warriors would not have something better in their back slot by duel weild. So, no, it's not "*cough* CRAP *cough*".
Nice Shield For the non-twinked newbie. The more I see of these quest items the more I like. I'm proud of VI for finally getting around to giving the non-twinks a little something for their troubles at the beginning of their careers.
