Still drops of Master R'tal. Looted one tonight.
We did hate today, killed all the demis, lots and lots of caster loot, finally moved upstairs, pulled this fewl, he didnt drop the sode though, he dropped two warrior vambraces, which the warriors didnt need.. bah! I was so mad, we were there all day too. maybe next time :D This would DEFINETLY replace the Fine Silken mantle I got at a GM event way way back in october 2000 was it? anyway,, its like 6 ac 6 dex and 6 agi.. something.. not bad but I need this SODE! :D this thing looks like GOFM that you put on your shoulders hehe
and BTW, yes a MONK was pulling, and the warrior was tagging, the whole raid.. and That's how it done, so BAH to all you weirdos :D

Posted: Oct 20 2002 at 8:35 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) F u and go to Hell that is NOT~~~~~ how pulls should be done in Hate....an ench who is uber like the ones on RZ help me tag cuz THEY are the ones who should be picking out the right targets and kno what they can handle....1 monk is all that is needed to brave the evil pulls of Hate...many try and fail I did it right the first time ^_^ ....any complaints I welcome a cup of /d on RZ ~

This has been changed to include Iksar.
The picture was probably taken before Kunark is all. There are several like that on this site.

As a GENERAL rule, monks are the best pullers. It is possible to make-do with other classes. In certain environments other classes can pull just as well as a monk or even better, especially if they are higher level. Also, almost every class has some experience pulling, but if you are monk, the odds are that you have been the puller in 75% of all the groups you have ever been in. If you weren't the puller, it was usually because there was a second monk in the group pulling instead hehe. Basically monks tend to be the most experienced pullers.

Bah, you're telling me you wouldn't like a monk pulling for you in the plains? Well BAH on you... you're taking all of the fun out of the game, always wondering how to get yourself mroe loot with less people. Relax and have some fun guys, it's just a game after all. Later.

ive been looking around at planar equip latly and theres only about 2 things that id use... the rhaska cloak and 1 or 2 SB items... BAH now i dont really want to go to the planes now that i can

I'd wear this over a drolvarg mantle...this is actually a rather nice piece IMHO
heh.. I goto hate cause I actually enjoy pulling, got a sode lastnight.. will I still pull hate? yep, if I ever get that haste cloak, will I still pull hate? hell yeah, it's FUN

Hehe actually some of the best monk items in the game drop in the planes unfortunately not in hate. The only problem is if you want to go to hate you MUST have a monk puller there is just no other way around it. As a monk myself I really hate this plane but when I want to get into a fear or growth raid it is nice to be known for the great job I did pulling Hate. Makes it alot easier to go.
Some of the best monk items drop in planes? boggle.
None of the monk armor sets from any plane are any good. They ALL suck.
Some named drops, like the rak cloak, are good, but not what they should be for being planar items.
IM NOT SAYING Good items dont drop on the planes, im saying that 99.8% of monk items dropped are far inferior to items that can be found outside of the planes.
And anyone who knows the planes knows that pulling PoG is /////nothing///// like pulling hate. Hate is almost a city zone, PoG is like NK. Much different pathing, agro properties, etc.
And wheover said it, no one is debating that monks are the best pullers. Its not even something anyone over level 1 would question. Besides very specific pulls other classes do better (the kallis stormcaller pull in kael arena done by a shadowknight using darkness comes to mind), monks are far superior.
And lastly, two monks with their heads together can pull anything in the game. (except expressly unsplitable mobs).

ive had warriors pull several times in hate instead of monks for the sake of too much aggro at lower levels after standing after many successful feign deaths. so bah on that have to have a monk crap :P

I myself am a Monk, and ENJOY puling hate, but I do have to say, the single best pullers I have ever seen.....a VERY good enchanter, hands down.

curious.. did the warrior pull the ENTIRE raid? after a few areas are pulled, as long as you have a good chanter a warrior can do ok as the puller.. but even then it leaves alot open to chance

A warrior can pull hate with few deaths if he's grouped with a CoH mage. I've also had a necro puller in hate, worked out ok.
