Rubicite aura on rubi bp is less than iksar regeneration by 1 hp regen. Neither are very good, but certainly better than nothing hehe.

To the person who commented on the damage bonus: This number is a result of the user's level and skill with the type of weapon...for two handers it is also modified by the delay of the weapon. On all 1 hand weapons the damage bonus is 11 at level 60. The person inspecting the item in the screenshot was likely was a caster or a very low level player.

Just wanted to clarify that.

Carry on. =b

Rubicite BP has a better regen effect and is nerfed so it sells for alot more than Iksar Regen BP

This is 'forged velium'. These weapons don't proc shards.
Regular velium weapons do.

Price

I'm testing some new pricing software, and wanted some feedback. It predicts that this item is worth about 260pp. Any thoughts?

Seems sensable to me, given Centi LS and other items that make this look rather unattractive, but mid-levels who have mere hundreds of pp to spend might really like this.

Dude this goes for way mare than 260pp lol.

The pricing software idea sounds cool, but what about rarity, or difficulty of the mob who drops it? If you could somehow get that in your software it would be cool.

What does rarity have to do with anything?

Honestly, people talk about rarity affecting the price, but if you have two identical items, the rarer one will not sell for more.

What determines price is the rarity of the easiest to get items of similar utility. For this, it's pretty much comparable to a Centi SS. I *think* I know what this looks like, and think it's a much classier looking weapon though. I'd put the price about the same as Centi LS, maybe slightly less. (Centi SS looks like it's made out of molded plastic, this looks like a sword)

Depends entirely on what factors the pricing sofware includes. Rarity does count for a lot in what some people are willing to pay for it (Ie will I look the same as a myriad other dweebs, or does it drop at all any more? etc), however this is usually accompanied by other variables such as what model it uses.. If the pricing software does not take into account that item A with the excat same statistics as Item B has a really spiffy custom graphic and Item B looks like a plain old rusty weapon for instance.. well /shrug who knows unless you can see the software for yourself..

As for me its very simple, supply and demand set the prices for all items, not just what their stats are.. If your server doesn't have an auction chat channel yet then you need to start one.. Server wide channels will see the end of zones (such as EC and GF on most servers) that are 'the' place to go for auctions.. Price checks are trivial to make then (just don't take the first one you get as gospel) and you can be fairly sure if you watch the channels you will not be getting 'ripped' off with respect to prices on your server.. As for value for money, well thats simply up to you as a buyer, if your willing to pay price X for Item A then pay it, if your not, then haggle.. Bored high level characters are always flooding the market with 'cheap' items.. Its an easy way to make Pdot funds and such..

Ok, let's say I have 2 masks...

Iksar Hide Mask: 4 AC, 13 Cha, 7 vs Magic.

Mask of Tinkering: 4 AC, 13 Cha, 7 vs Magic.

Iksar is Illusion Iksar. (1k pp - 5k pp)
Tinkering is Illusion Gnome. (10k pp - 20k pp)

Want to tell me why the Illusion Iksar is worth so much less than the Illusion Gnome?

Answer is simple really. Iksar is far easier to get. The Gnome one drops in Sleepers Tomb vs Iksar which drops in Trakanon's Teeth so it is simply more RARE than the gnome version.

You forget that as far as illusional masks go, there's only one other light race mask (that I know of) and it's extremely hard to get as well. It's a point that's been proven by many items, just a bad example.

Bad example, the different illusions make these very different items. But I do understand the point your making.
RE: Price
# Mar 23 2002 at 8:24 AM Rating: Default
No. People often pay a lot for pieces of Rubicite armor (the old one that no longer drops) to get a full set. Most pieces are just ac, and really low as well. There's Much better out there for Much lower prices, but people still pay more for it because of the rarity

I dunno how well an item like this would do in a market flooded with Centi weapons. Granted it's a better mainhander than the CSS (although that's debatable), but I can't see this going for much more than 600-700pp.

Of course, this can be different on other servers.
