This item no NOT a No Drop any more. I have one for sell on my trader on Stormhammer. I want to sell it but have no idea on the PC since everyone is still thinking it is a No Drop. Anyway just to let everyone know it is NO LONGER a No Drop and can be sold. My seller is Esailbargins if you want to check it out.

It IS dropable for sure, i just bought one in bazaar two minutes ago

Picked up one of these not long ago. "No probs", thinks I, "I'll dump it on my rogue to use", thinking that while the damage would remain the same as his current weapon (12 dam) it would get better as he levelled past 40.
To my surprise, I couldnt equip it, but got a "class/race/deity combo cant equip" message. After petitioning to find out why, it turns out that the recommended level works in 2 ways.
Some just limit the stats to an equivalent level (so this would have been 12/28 +51 hp at lev 40) but some totally prevent you from using it until you meet the level requirements.
There are other items from CT with the same problem, so jsut be aware that you cant dump this onto a low lev alt - they wont be able to use it until 51.

Yes, this was a bit of confusion they cleared up only recently. Most CT items now have a REQUIRED level of 51 listed as opposed to 'recommended'. Sony seems to be getting more sensitive to the problem of outrageously powerful items in the hands of lower level characters. It doesn't stop twinking entirely, as that would damage a server's already fragile economy, but it does curb it somewhat.
i saw someone selling this in ec for 8k the other day, its weird tho cuz this is nodrop.
Almost all of the New CT drops started out as No-drop, but a good majority of them(think the items from mini-quests are still no-drop but not sure) have had the no-drop tag removed, and been given a recommended level (most 51 or 55) if they didnt already have one. So it's very possible that this also was made droppable. If so, think is a definite rogue item, Droppable but Epic damage for backstabbing.

This may sound weird but it is true. I recently created a DE Necro and was only at lvl 6 when I received a tell from someone I didn't know. He asked me if I wanted his stuff because he was creating a new char and deleting his necro. Of course I said yes and he gave me awesome equipment. This being one of them. My question is according to this website it can be used by wizards but when I click on it, it says Nec, War, Rog only? (And yes it is no longer No Drop otherwise I wouldn't have it.) Can a Wiz use it or not? I guess one way to find out is to "trust" someone and see if they can use it. On a side note, I have not bought Luclin yet, is it worth it and what are the advantages? Besides new hunting grounds.

My small family of characters lacks any necros, but I have some friends who are. I noticed that the item has 65 hit points, and is useable by necros. Since the damage ratio is not super, would a high level necro use an item like this, or would he tnd to stick with more stat improving weapons?

Well, I am a necro and currently I use an ancient fishing pole simply for the 75 health on it. I would deffinatly consider this because with the lich line, sitting to med is not that necissary most times and with the vampiric embrace line, (goes up to a 70 damage tap proc at 60) a weapon is not that bad of an item to have.

This would create some crazy backstabs with a Rogue. ODD though, that this doesn't have the effect of Bloodclaw, like the Stiletto of Bloodclaw. Just thought that a bit weird.

Id just like to say that this is VERY nice. I might sound like a newbie(but i am not) by saying this but i would love to have this on my bard,ranger or rogue. The pretty low del and SWEET dmg for its del would kick **** on any of those 3 classes. I hate saying these kind of things by neglecting to see the value of things towards other classes, i just noticed its potential for those classes. Thx all, cant wait to see who it drops off!

khemo... youre nuts... yes, somone would sneak a newbie rogue in to loot... the dmg on this is crazy for bstabs (ragebringer... which is the rogue epic... is 15 dmg... and rogues usin that land bstabs for 600+ barbs can land some real nasty ones) so a newbie walkin around with a weapon with same bstab potential as an epic rogue (-the stats, -the high bstab skill, and -the haste on the rage bringer) but thats VERY nice bstabber... heck i might bring my rogue to ct to see if anyones lettin one rot... he can bstab for like 55 with a low bstab skill and a 10 dmg weapon (at 12) skill is like 39 (if it was higher and i had this i have no doubt that i could land one for 90+ at 12)very nice potential... lol solo at 12 (hide, sneak, find a wooly mammoth calf...BAM! 90+ dmg to start the fight...) would be a VERY nice item for a low rogue... and im sure there will be many rotting... cause its not that good.. unless your a rogue. and by then they got epic... or better.

Let me correct myself... this would be great for ANY pre epic rogue... the bstab dmg just cant be rivaled...
