Casting Time

According to the picture, the cast time on this item is only 1.5 seconds; if you're after a quick way to cure poison, this has got to be one of the better items available. One of the problems with curing poison is that it takes up a valuable spell slot. In addition, many times the poison doesn't last too long (compared to many disease spells), and the casting time is 4 seconds on the regular casted version of the Counteract Poison spell. For these reasons many of us just end up accepting the poison for its full duration. However, this item will save you that spell slot, save you the mana, and save you the cast time. If you can undermine poison effects in the early stages, you've have a nice advantage over your foe.

Ear & Finger

IMHO the reason that they don't make it lore is because it can go in BOTH the ear and finger slot. And since there is no way to make sure they only put one in each slot, we're left with a non-lore really good ring. Also, i can't believe no one's said anything about the proc! The proc could save a group on a Trak raid, 1.5 cast time and all.

Close, but not quite. Each Item has it's own identity number. Change one of the numbers and the item is no longer the same, thus being able to carry more. Example; The Old Ancient Coins that you can find at the bottom of most wells in any pre-velious town.

this place is now becomming a good high level place to raid now considering it was a mid level raid this item is very nice for people that have low wis due to making your character wrong etc... it has crappy ac but better then something a jewler would make in wis jewlery so its good in my book

also notice that is a finger slot item..get rid of that +5 or 6 wis ring and replace it with this..now you have a much better wisdom RING with AC and RESISTS and you leave the earring slot open for something else

Don't know about you, but I have what I would call stronger items on my rings than my earrings. 6 or 7 wisdom > 3 wisdom, or maybe 25 HP 35 mana. Same with blue diamond gear. Versatility nice depending on your equipment but IMO better to use this as an earring.

I have in one ear The Earring of Purity 2ac 1wis 35hp 35mana effect: counteract disease..and Ive been looking for the sister of that earring, The Earring of Cleansing..same stats but has counteract poison..But Id rather have this earring..same effect but 10wis? sweet..well good hunting and safe journey to all.

I saw one of these drop as well, and looted the corpse myself. It dropped of a named raptor, not lizard, that spawns in the 4c area, and roams back and forth down one of the walls. I can't remember his name...it was one word though, and it was an actual name...not like Enraged Raptor or something like that. He conned blue to 60, and I'd guess that he was 58. He had rather low HP compared to most other mobs in the zone, but hit a bit harder.

I've been to this area several and I've only seen him spawn once.

This is more for the admin, but the stats listed on top do not include finger slot nor the 45 mana, as listed in the screenshot. Update please.
Well....

As the person who sent the pic in, I can only say this:

I got this on my very trip to CT the day after it was upgraded, and we were only there for a couple hours. That being said, I was fully expecting after several more trips to have FOUR of these. I assumed since we got one on that first trip and were only there a short time, I would see one drop just about every trip. As of now, I still don't know of anyone else on the server with one and the zone is always packed. Cong~ me on being naive. :p

The pic is right, the site just copied the information wrong. They can be worn on fingers OR ears and they are NOT lore (not yet anyway).

As it was our first trip and things were pretty hectic, I didn't catch the name of what dropped it, but I believe it was one of the named brown lizards. Sorry I don't have the exact name.

I too believe they will soon be nerfed to lore. Would be nice to get 2 on someone before they do, and just make sure never to transfer one. :)

Actually (and I know this will **** people off) If you get 2 items that are then made lore when you die you can only loot 1 :( I know this from experiance.

the fact that drops here are uber rare and not always even usable by someone in the group.

I've killed A LOT of raptors and seen NADA, a lot of lizards and seen only 2 barbed rubicite bracers and raptor hide bracer.

If this stuff is for trade skills we are in for serious fun as I got 3 webs in like 16 hours of killing spiders (6 per spawn cycle) and one spider hat for wizards only. Dont get me started on mosquitoes and oozes (I have one slime thing, no stats, for all that).

Finally, nothing drops coins. No gems either. Sooner or later clerics going to stop using dots there . . .

Also, nothing I've

The usual question

I'm realy wondering why nobody has asked yet. What drops these earrings?

On the item itself, these are just amazing and I'd be very suprised if they didn't drop off some rare spawn that's somewhere in the 60's. If anyone manages to get more than 2, pat yourself on the back and wear them with pride (or if you can use 'em, I'd REALY appreciate the donation :)

Meirril, Fennin Ro

p.s. My guess is they'll make them nodrop as a fix.
Very nice
# Mar 18 2002 at 8:26 PM Rating: Decent
Yeah, how long before you think they'll nerf these into at least lore???
RE: Very nice
# Mar 19 2002 at 12:33 AM Rating: Decent

ONLY 2
# Mar 18 2002 at 8:24 PM Rating: Decent
Why do u want only 2 i would go for 4 2 ear 2 ring hehe not being greedy (snigger)
Wow
# Mar 18 2002 at 5:39 PM Rating: Decent
Actually, one could equip 4 of these. It is not lore, and on the item picture is shows that it is equipable in the earring and finger slots. Wow.

EDIT: Oops, accidentally had down "ring and finger slots"
