Taunting
# Oct 12 2003 at 2:47 PM Rating: Decent
Warrior Taunt skill is maxxed at 230. Anyone who says it's 200 either doesn't taunt or isn't a warrior. It works in the same way that tradeskills work with mods. 230taunt + 10%mod = 252taunt. There are 2 other taunt mod items. A 4% belt (Girdle of the Flesheater) from LDoN MM and a Boots of Dispair (10%) from PoTime. The max modified taunt skill is 255 at this time. Hopefully this will be changed soon. I currently have the Garish Head dress and belt. (My theoretic Taunt is 262.2) I hope to own the boots soon and that would make taunt 285.2, but like I said, the mod skill is capped out at 255 right now.

Thank you for the uberish drops, now please make them work.

skill mods don't stack, though. for example, using a tailoring trophy and a tailoring geerlok is still just 5% skill mod. assuming those are the only taunt mods in the game, this is as good as you will get.

At lvl 65 taunt caps at 230. So if I went and got this would it go up higher or just stay the same?....
Maxed taunt at 200?
# Jun 27 2002 at 9:54 AM Rating: Decent
Since Luclin is fairly new and someone has told me that warrior taunt is capped at 200... why does my 53 warrior have a 209 taunt skill? Before you open your mouth know what you are talking about

i think that taunt is capped at 200 at level 40, and then starting level 50 the cap goes up to 250; so the person may have been confused with old eq and that stuff /shrug

Not sure what the cap is.. but My guildmate - at 60, with this helm, has a 252 taunt, which i have heard is the max AT THIS TIME. :P

I see this guy wearing the tackiest helm I've ever seen. Metallic purple, and the rest of his outfit was already pretty flashy. What the hell was that?

guildie tells the group, 'It's a garish headdress'
you say to your group, 'It certainly is'

Naw, Wars taunt is capped at 200. So if they get this it'll put them up to 220ish taunt. Very nice indeed.

Biz.

purple!
# Mar 18 2002 at 9:32 PM Rating: Decent
I thought red > purple taunt ability. Just look at those guys who have bulls chase them. Too bad it doesn't have some really oddball unique-ish graphic. Like it textures the back of your head to look like a bullseye...
RE: purple!
# Mar 19 2002 at 12:15 AM Rating: Decent
Actually, its not the red that taunts the bull (bulls are colorblind), its the motion of the matador.
RE: purple!
# Mar 19 2002 at 11:29 PM Rating: Default
Technically, bulls are only partially colorblind. They see yellows, greens and blues quite well (the colors of their natural environment). I believe it is more than just the motion of the matador that taunts the bull and that color or lack thereof plays an important part in confusing/aggravating the beast.
RE: purple!
# Mar 20 2002 at 7:35 AM Rating: Decent
Yeah its the motion, but if I were a bull I'd be a lot more PO'ed at the spears...

Exactly how do we know that bulls are colorblind anyhow? Something I never figured out... For all we know, maybe cats and dogs can really see color too!

Hehe, I love being human some times
RE: purple!
# Jun 28 2003 at 3:49 AM Rating: Decent
we know they don't see colors cuse some sientist tool a buch of cats, dogs, cows, frogs, buls whatever and choped there lil heads into peices and looking around, they did not have the correct rods and cones(that witch makes you see colors) to se all the wonderfull colores in the world. the end.

This is a truly sweet head item for any warrior able to get deep enough into Grieg's. Would love to get one myself eventually.

Excellent AC for the Head and a good bonus to that much needed Taunt skill. :)
