#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 12 2002 at 6:50 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think that Legends items should be part of a new Legends service on Allakhazams...better service, access to Legends items and zones database, faster load times, and for a mere 4 times the price of the premium service! WOOT!!
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 12 2002 at 6:17 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Verant has always been whining about how certain items will unbalance gameplay. They always stop the item or nerf it long before it has a chance to unbalance the game. Weeelllll, i can eventually see either the comeplete balance of the game even with items like this on legends, which might give verant some balls and bring the items to regular servers. OR the legends server becomes so unbalanced noone bother playing it anymore because a single class, like rangers (hehe..that would never happen) dominate the whole game because of a couple items that were put in. Who wants to play on a server like that? i know i dont. so either legends will eventualls fall, or that items will be moved to regular servers and verant might actually grow balls large enough to give monks a twilight gi with more than 14 ac.....bastards.

There should be a post quota on the word balls...
Especially the phrase grows balls...

#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 11 2002 at 11:08 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I have heard of no one making items like this. This has to be a mistake, it probably drops in the mire.

I am the one who has made the first ones of these jewlery pieces. They are player made .. however they are not easy to make. Skill requrired is between 150 and 250. Depending on which level of the jewlery you are making. The only level i've been posting is the level 2 jewlery.

The cursed ore to make these is VERY rare and is even moreso rare after the recent patch.
Lol

How to Make?

I am on the Legends server and would like to know how to make these rings, earings etc. What skill and skill level is needed to make them?
Please People!

If you dont like legends then dont look at the items! Some of us are interested in actually using this board for discussing the ITEM not "Legends Sucks" disussion.

That said How is this item made? Anyone from legends know? Im not actually on legends but I see most of this stuff eventually ending up on the regular servers and I find it all quite interesting.

#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 11 2002 at 6:28 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) the player made thing is prolly an error, this is way too good to be player made, and it's nodrop as well.
Someone might as well say it

But why must this be Legends only? They screwed up when they made the legends server and now having uber items from there that beat some god items is just not right.

Anyone else think that is messed up?
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 11 2002 at 6:15 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I don't really like the idea of legends, but let me make this point:

While that might be cool that such items get filtered down to regular servers, I personally expect them to get nerfed and then maybe only the lower scale items. Who knows it may happen with no nerfage and the might bring in most items but I don't expect many to get through to the regular servers.

No offense or anything, I am sorry if I do offend you, but are you simply stating that Legends is only like a glorified test server? (Like i said I am sorry if this offends anyone, especially the people paying $40+ )

No, I'm not saying that legends is like a test server. Some of the Legends items and content will filter down to regular servers, but not all of it. By paying more the Legends users are getting more content more often. I just hope that it will benefit everyone that has paid for this game for years.

They have a whole different team for Legends, so actual gameplay is not affected, but still, it is a very bad thing to do, they could fix a lot of EQ problems if they used the people they hired for Legends to work on gameplay problems, but hey, that wouldn't be making more money for them, would it. Some claim that people are jealous of Legends, well, to me, it seems like gear like this sort of ruins the point of EQ. I mean, if you can get stuff like this tailored(or however they do it there on stormhammer), doesn't it eventually just lead to everything being too easy? Not to say that some aspects of EQ arent too hard already, but when you can get this, even at 200+ skill, it just seems wrong. Skills are broken, but that doesn't mean that you should be able to craft yourself armor of ultimate power because you have good skill in whatever trade.

I seriously don't think you understand how difficult certain trade skills are to master. Level 60 with 40 AA points? *yawn* So what? A level 250 tailor? WOW!! Harder, more expensive and more tedious to obtain than any class getting to 60. So if someone who is level 60 can go and get the best dropped gear, why shouldn't someone who has maxxed out a very tough skill like tailoring or smithing be able to make some stuff that is of great quality?

I a lot of tradeskills are incredibly difficult to raise-- smithing and tailoring are hard and they also go hand in hand. If you can't smith, you can't tailor a lot of things, so thats two skills you have to be adept at (or find someone who is).

It's time I spend tailoring when I could be leveling instead-- I'm a master fletcher and I hardly fletch, but my tailoring is still only 50, because it takes hell to raise it. (find pelts, make studs, make bonings, find more pelts, combine, fail, try again, find more pelts...) ... heck I could be leveling instead and FARMING better items than i'm making. So, after all this work, you deserve something for your efforts-- and I think thats fair enough in the case of the above item.

Also, while I was agaisnt Stormhammer, I don't think this is the place to discuss it... this is to discuss the item in question, so don't be rude and starting shooting your mouth off about how you hate the Legends server. If you really do, then go to the page that debates it.

Very well written, and thought out =). Thank you for posting here.

/kneel We're not worthy, we're not worthy. =P

Still that is true, imagen the twinkage that will go on in those servers. A level 1 paladin with all this armor and jewlery would be comparable with a level 10 in a normal server. Makes the game too damn easy. Expect to see a single group solo Vox and Naggy.

I think it's messed up that they released legends when they're obviously still not done with fixing luclin bugs and features that have just evaporated.
