VI must have changed them with the last major patch because I looted a pair last night and they are NOT no drop.
I personally like the idea of all the new no drop items. Makes me feel better than to see a level 5 running around in the same item I worked so hard to get. Just my 2cp.

Far better than Hate arms. 3 more AC, 3 Dex and Agi as a bonus, with 65 hp and a poison resist (hard to raise resist) these pretty much kick ***. Best of all, they don't have the silly plate look to mess up how you appear.

I guess this is an upgrade to RavenScale armor. I wonder how good the whole suit is? But I can just see it now...rogue is sneaking: Ouch! Darn spikes keep stabbing me! And how quiet could you be in a coat of metal rings anyway?

This is not the new Ravenscale, hell anyone that steps into the new CT still wearing RS is just a target or sacrificial lamb. This is not a one group pickup zone (at least, not yet). Anyway, I'd have to check stats again but I think the only reason I'd loot this is if it was rotting, would wear my Gladiator's arms for the str.

Historically, chainmail with cloth laced through the links made for a decent silenced armor. Heavy but acceptable compared to the alternative of giving away your position. Looks like a nice piece of armor though. Too bad almost all the new loot is "no drop". Couldn't invest my plat if I wanted to, anymore...
