I can't imagine any plate-class wearing them willingly, so there is agreement there.
The idea that they may be for a quest must be considered though :P
Maybe if you turn in 8 of them, you get some spiffy breath-of-the-dog visor with clickable effect "Tainted Breath"

twink item you can wear from say lvl 1 - lvl 2 or 3
I remember being level 8 or so, and finally having saved up enough to go to a N. Qeynos merchant and buy myself some leather armor (boots, etc).
I would have given my left eye (about all I had that was valuable) for one of these! Of course, once you get to the sunny side of 30, you're never going to look at something like this and drool, but you have to remember what it was like to be a newbie.
I made someone's day yesterday by handing him a purity belt. ;-)

I agree with you 100%, no item is truely worthless, it is even unfair to say that at the level it would take you get this you would have better, sometimes there are some really underequiped characters (too lazy to do anything but exp grind).
But on a server like legends, your paying $40 a month... your not very likely to see many newbies. Pretty much legends is for the hardcore players who its worth paying that much... and to them, this would never replace thier boots at the level to obtain.
Just my opionion... hee.. they should twink all the low level mobs, I could see a firebeetle with a no class lammy.

Hrm... doubt its a legends item... as already stated, VI is filling in armor sets, and also, Drolvarg is not the name of someone's toon, its the name of these werewolf-like mobs found in Firiona Vie and the surrounding zones.

I'm not so sure this is a Legends only item...verant recently implemented a lot of gear missing from sets of armor... ie: Bloodstained, Black Ice, more than likely others, this could be another one of those deals.
So glad I still play on the ghetto servers.
hahaha, 40 bucks a month and Verant still decides to add in the crap noone will use.
