as anybody looked up what hast does it is 2% hast at lvl one and goes p 1% every level till you hit lvl 50, so i think an hast item will work.

You're not making your monkly brothers look good. In fact, a good many monks who post on this site don't make their brothers look good. Fortunately, most of the monks who say stuff like you just did won't be pulling North TOV anytime soon. This earring is not even worth comparing to Vulak loot, sure it's nice, and the haste is good, but by the time you can get a Vyrinn's earring, you can quest yourself a very good haste item from TOV. This is a great earring, but any melee would benefit from it. Also, I've never seen this "BEST FOR MONKS" tag on an item in 53 levels of playing one, can someone point out to me where it is? It would really help me in finding new equipment /grin.

nor do i see them realy needing wis or int either but been seeing alot of people saying on other itmes "THIS IS A MONK ITEM" yet some of the best stats on them are wis int and mana

please shut up about monk stuff, this is a good item for any melee class, I really see a monk using that +25 mana
actually, I believe what he was saying that using *something like* Allakhazam's equipment upgrader, this item comes out on top relatively speaking. He wasn't saying it should go to a monk.
Please also remember that not everyone is ToV capable.

Hmmmm, with 125 posts, you might think you knew what you were talking about. Let's see, named wurm's in Temple Of Veeshan, over 60th level, almost standard come with 200k hp, so why not this mob, named MoB off the Umbral Plains over 60th level? OR, maybe you just have a breathing problem and need some Robitussin for that *cough* of yours.

Is there an echo in here?
Even tho I mainly play Eberk..My Bard Haarmony Dreamdiva would most gladly wear this earring :o)And even tho a cleric cant wear them they have a nice ticket on them...But at this lvl most drops are CAWU anyways so I might not even be able to roll on them..Looks like ill have to lead group to get this item..well good hunting and safe journey to all.

That's a very, very good earring. An alternate slot for haste is great, letting you use the other slots for something else. Although there are better haste items, not percent wise, but stat and slot wise, like the Silver Bracelet of Speed in Temple of Veeshan, this is simply excellent for the level of the zone it's in. I can't think of a better haste item than this one that ISN'T in the EQ "End Game". Umbral Plains is still a tough zone, however, beware if you feel like just bringing your guild to go score some of these. My guild, Destiny's Blade, got wiped a week ago just trying to fight our way to that Radir Fireshower guy. 4 hour CR... not fun at all. Hopefully, you'll be more prepared than we were, or just more luck would do too.
Bard songs do stack with item haste, as a ranger we can get the pos quest cloak with 50% bard song haste and it stacks with the ranger epic swiftwinds 40% haste, maybe this is the only true case of stacking with song, but i wear a haste belt and weild a lammy and defiance and when the barg sings there is a noticable difference in the haste effect, but i have also been grouping with 55+ bards.

If this earring is 41% as Magelo suggests, it is, by far, the best haste item in the game. First of all because there arent that many earrings in the game with great stats unlike the other usual haste slots (belt and cloak). Secondly, the stats on this aren't shabby themselves. One of these and a yellow fang earring would own. Lastly, it finally lets you wear a nice belt AND cloak while having the highest possible worn haste (41% is the highest on any item if Im not mistaken).

Oh yeah, one more thing. This haste item actually has class restrictions so when it drops theres no chanters or clerics or whatever saying "Hey, I want to roll on this too. Melee arent the only ones who use weapons"

yeah, lol, i was in a group at lvl 17 in highpass and there was a super uber twinked druid in our group, he was dealing the most damage and he never casted a single spell the whole time we grouped, i would have killed him for his wep...bone handled scimitar, he was hitting for constant 30s with it....while my poor sk hadn't hit the damage cap at lvl 20 yet so he was still whacking away with a BABS for 21pts....

Rangers Test of defence in POA is reported to give a 50% haste cloak slot item...with about 6 ac and some other stats....like 8 str and sta..cant remember for sure...but i am positive on the reported 50% haste.

Regular item haste does not stack. Only the highest is used. Otherwise, most of the high end players would have 3 different haste items and one of the purposes of having an enchanter is taken away, thus creating balancing issues.
Haste Stacking:
1 Item (weapon,armor,range... doesn't matter)
1 Spell (chanters, shamans, triggered spells)
1 Bard Song
(Monk only) Monk self haste
That's what can stack... no you can't have an Fbss, this, a shiny trinket of speed, and silver chitin handwraps and have crazy speed...

I believe you are incorrect about the haste stacking.
Yes, One Permanent item and one spell. But also, every epic haste effect stacks with all others, and several bard songs stack with spells and each other....so theoretically you could have Spell, Item, Epic, and i think 4 bard songs ( need a good bard with low lag though or multiple bards ).

Just to clarify:
You only can have two haste effects on you at any given time: spell haste and item haste. Whichever is the fastest spell haste (which includes bardsongs) and fastest item haste on you will take effect. Now, since bardsong haste usually include additional effects (Like STR buffs, for instance) those additional effects will stack, usually, which is why you see the blinking icon up on your screen. However, the haste effect won't.
There are a couple of exceptions to this. Bards have 4 songs which DO, in fact, stack with other spell hastes. They are the Ervaj line and the Vah Shir line. The Ervaj line is a level 50 and level 60 song which provides a small (5% and 10%) stackable haste. However, these songs also require a bard have a horn equipped to play them, making them somewhat unuseful for such a small haste increase. The Vah Shir line came out with Luclin, and are significantly more useful. Both provide stackable haste (15% for the level 52 song, 25% for the level 60), neither require an instrument to play them, and further, the haste they provide will allow your group to exceed the haste cap. Currently, this is the only way in EQ you can do this.

you forgot the rogue discipline: Blinding Speed (lvl 58), plus anything new monks or rogues or anyone gets from the new AA system...I'm not fully up to speed on all of em yet

Actually, bards did get two new songs with luclin that do stack with spells. Level 52 Battlecry of the Vahshir and Level 60 Warcry of the Vahshir will stack with it. The first song is 15% haste and will allow people to break the haste cap. The second is 30%...I believe...and also will allow people to break the haste cap. =0P

can the haste from this item and the haste from say the silver chitin hand wraps stack? Or does permanent haste not stack with permanent haste, I know that spells such as those casted by chanters can stack with silver chitin hand wraps.

According to Magelo, it's 41% haste - 5% more than the CoF and CoCW and 10% more than the RBB.

wow... if the haste was better I'd love to replace my rbg and get a better ac and stat belt... nice little stat boost too... lose a bit of ac and str from replacing sarnak one.. but still...

2 groups can do umbral plains, more for named (which i'm guessing this drops off of), more than likely somebody will need this, the chance of seeing this sold at the moment is very rare
