Dropped in the generic task zone of Mechamatic Guardian
rare
# Oct 27 2011 at 2:53 PM Rating: Decent
I just got one of these... I've killed literally thousands of mobs swarming in the mech guardian... This is really rare to say the least to save anyone camp time... It's fun to have in ammo if anyone needs invis but the coolness is lacking... 5 sec/15min recast... it's like Sony worked hard to make it really unuseful.

targetable invis every 10 minutes for stupid group mates?

The invisibility on this is targetable. That alone is pretty nice. Add in the fact that I eat through so many invis potions on raids/in groups scouting and pulling and that my FD invis every 4 minutes is never up when I need it, this is actually nice to have.

Dropped off a steamreaver cant remember the first part of the name, in the normal mechamatic guardian instance whilst doing quests for the face mask aug today very rare, first time ive seen it drop in 3 runs of the guardian, the invis isnt fixed invis but it hasnt faded once on me in the 15 minutes running through loping planes and DSH

Unless the inviso is a fixed inviso, which I doubt, what is the point of this item since it has a recast delay? You feel yourself starting to appear...ohh wait I can not recast my clicky inviso yet...LOADING.

Can anyone confirm this please. Thanks.

Even if not fixed this item could be used to supplement your invis options. Keep potions on for instant click if this invis were to drop prior to the recast being available.

yeah I would have to agree it's a rather pointless item. Chalk it up to an incompetant Item Dev.

Great item imo.

This can be used by classes that can't cast invis. Chances are you won't need invis to often within a 15 min time period anyhow. So you always carry potions around with yah incase it starts to wear off.

"Chances are you won't need to invis too often within a 15 min period anyhow"... I WISH that were true. My 80 monk averages 1 to 14 seconds the first several invis's she needs. I box a shaman and as a routine I have to invis my main 5 times to get across any area. I'd complain that my char is bugged but after nearly 9 years playing EQ I know the reply.. "working as intended". I'm very "not happy" that this "should be simple" task of invis'ing wears off so rapidly on so regular a basis. All I can say is that using an invis item with such a recast delay would, for me, result in even more trains than I already leave behind me. I'd only be able to offer to those who have to work around those trains that if SoE didn't want people training, they'd change how fast invis can (and almost always does) wear off. I'd guess the trains are "working as intended" also. If I were to camp for this item, I'd still have to buy 4 stacks of invis pots a day just to get to where my camps are. Yes, I do FD most agro off.. but then FD is "working as intended" as well. Even so, it's part of the game so I deal with it. Maybe just monks have this problem with invis as a penalty for getting FD.
