This can also either drop from the wyvern evoker and the wyvern champion mobs in the trio group. Also, as of 12/09/2008, the base damage for this club has changed from 48 to 55. I think many of the groupable weapon drops from the SOF and SOD expansions received a small boost in base damage.
I just don't understand why they put a "melee proc" on a caster's weapon. /sigh. Where's the Lure of Ro proc on this?

Procs on all the priest weapons in SoF are mucked up.
Originally, for those who weren't aware, on beta the Flail of Redemption had a large AE nuke proc and this staff had a Lure of Ro proc.
They've since been changed to Hand of Holy Vengeance V for the Flail (which is great, unresistable nuke + group heal). Meanwhile this one, the best group weapon in the game for priests, has a DoN-era meleer proc.
The OP was suggesting that because it's a caster weapon, a 175-point proc really doesn't cut the mustard; traditionally caster/priest weapons have had much bigger and/or more interesting effects.

my cleric solo's a great deal... and as it actually adds quite a bit of dps, she also puts up vow and melee's in alot of groups when its possible... finding a GOOD 1hb for a cleric with a proc on it is a hawt find imo, great for the group melee fights, since my DA hammer would suck there and i don't have to lose stats/mana/hps to do it :P

My cleric doesn't. Mostly because he's a cleric. Of all the things to complain to the devs about, priest weapon procs are about number 598,332 in my opinion. They could have done better, but there are far more pressing things to worry about.
