I sit here stunned. All that I understood or thought I knew has been brought to question. I stand here looking down on a thing that people tell me is the coffin of a god. I feel the power coming from it, though for all I know it could be a magical trick. I am, after all, standing on a floating platform hundreds of feet above a lake surrounded by massive towers that simply hang there in the air. How am I, a simple traveler, to understand the truth here?

The devotees here tell me that they have been worshiping this coffin, their god Alra, for centuries. They say that Alra's power has grown by their worship and their adherence to alir ways.

I see things here that they probably do not. I see how they are divided. I see that they certainly control great power. I also see that they work against each other. If this divisiveness is part of the ways of Alra, then I cannot see how al ever became a god. I am very certain that these people have strayed from their goal in the pursuit of pure power. I can only wonder, if we make our gods by our dedication to them, what has their twisted form of worship done to Alra?

There are a few of them that sense some sort of problem, but they can only find it within them to blame others, primarily those that have tried to bring The Order here or those that live above them in the place called Windsong. I hope to convince them to allow me to travel there, further into the sky, to discover what it is up there that could bring such dissonance to such a magical place.
