Indigo Brotherhood

The Dark Elf Warriors Guild. The Indigo Brotherhood has struck an alliance with the Crushbone Orcs, sending their Ambassador to Emperor Crush himself. It remains to be seen what will come of it.

The Guildhall of the Indigo Brotherhood can be found in the Neriak Commons. The guildmaster Seloxia Punox leads the guild in the opposition of The Emerald Warriors of Kelethin and the Steel Warriors of of Qeynos and Freeport. Dark Elf warriors also learn young to Hunt the Halfling Leatherfoot Raiders who have invaded their Nektulos Forest.

As a rule, you can gain faction with most of the Human and Elvish warrior guilds by annoying these folk.

Potion of Peace: Indigo Brotherhood resets this faction.

Potion of Peace: Indigo Brotherhood raises your faction by 2000. So, if you are max KOS then drinking the potion will raise you to Dubious. You can only drink 1 potion (sadly)

I was max KoS except I was able to turn in halfling skullcaps for 50. So I read here and went and bought the potion. I drank it and gained a 1950 point adjustment to a standing of 0, ie: amiable. I am Dark Elf Innoruuk to begin with though.

Killing the DE Corruptor/Reaver

I have a friend who is a DE cleric. He wants to help our guild brothers and sister with their epic, but he is he said one step away from being KOS. I dont want him to lose his faction, but would love to have his company on our raid. I am looking at the quests here, but none of the posts really states how well the faction hits are. I mean as a guild I am sure we would love to help him collect tons of caps, fire beetle eyes and the such if it will help him. I just dont want to waste his time or anyone elses by doing this if it is not worth it.

If anyone can post some useful information about the amount of faction hit from the Reaver and Corruptor and the gain from the quests I would be forever happy:) Thank you to all who help with this answer.

I believe it is large, I personally have killed it twice and before I did that I could buy from the DE Cultural Water Vendor in Neriak Commons. Now, I'm dubious and I believe I used to at least be indifferent.

I love it when you lightes wanna raise faction with us inkies. It's not strange that you like us, unfortunantly it is very hard to raise faction with our guilds without ******** up your own faction. I'd start off raising faction with our guards and merchants wich can be done easily. Go to the darkelfs who reside in south ro. Hail the one called Smith Tv'Ysa. If she doesn't say anything to you, try saying "I am interested" That might get her to talk. You get to hand in lightstones and greaterlightstones for a quest. Lightstones drop off Willo whisps. I think the reward is a spell for reaserch or something. I don't think anyone begins kos with these darkelfs in south ro, and theres no negative faction hits for the quest. Also the Indigo Brotherhood faction isn't really a important one unless if your a warrior. With this quest you'll get to raise both guard factions and the merchant faction. If anyone else knows a way how to increase darkelf guild factions without hurting woodelf/highelf faction please let us know so we can have more cute woodelfs and highelfs running around our fair city :)

This was quite nice information. Thank you, Takata. I went from dubious to amiable with the S Ro merchants by handing in about 25 lightstones. I found a seemingly endless supply of the lightstones in EC and bought as many as I could carry, not knowing how many it would take! Not a bad faction fix for about 30 plat and not even getting your hands dirty. I have yet to /con the merchants and what-have-you in Neriak but am hoping that faction raised as quickly as it did with the S Ro merchants.

Now for that Indigo Brotherhood faction. . . . If I find something that works and doesn't kill my GFay factions I'll be back to post!

Indigo brotherhood raises involve killing goodies

Indigo raises involve killing goodies, so it is not desired (mostly wood elves if I remember right)

Also, it is not needed as a faction even by dark elves. The only people on indigo brotherhood are the neriak warrior guild denizens themselves (just don't go in there.) and some advisor guy in the basement bar of the Maiden's Fancy. Otherwise you have Dorn in Nro on it. One low level guard may also be on it, can't remember.

If you dont' want to be killed by guards, its all dread guard outer and inner. There is a snag, though. The guards around the cleric guild are on THAT faction = priests of innoruuk. This is only raised from quests with them, mostly the delivering of a note from Saxavaria or something in the east freeport sewers (who is on that faction) which is the way that human and troll naughty types raise the neriak clerics to the point they can do the amulet series of quests.

I am a 41 lvl sk. Spent 12 or so hours of game time killing elves in Timerous Deep and occasional slaves in crushbone, and I'm still no better with Indigo in Neriak. I got warm to outer guard by killing halflings in a few hours, and not much red wine got me ally with inner, outer and merchants. Is it possible that Iksar cannot get good indigo faction? I did hear I can never go to OT outpost and same faction. Just spent five hours killing mages in Neriak and the gnome in crushbone-Hoping the Dead isnt' the same.

I've created an ogre warrior and the feerrott is boring. I want to get my faction high enough with the Indigo brotherhood so I can train with them because I wish to hunt in n ro and EC and such. What is the best quest I can do to do so? Any suggestions at all? I am not twinked (yet) but I can get money. All I've heard about is the wine quest and orc pawn picks, but how many times do I have to do that to be able train? Really wanna get something good going with the dark elves and at least the indigo brotherhood. Thanks.

RE: KOS in Crushbone?
# Jan 06 2003 at 4:26 PM Rating: Decent
The answer is probably yes. I created a dark elf cleric and could walk around all of Crushbone with no problem being dubious to the orcs. The only time I ran into a problem was after killing some elven slaves one of the orc slavers attacked me ... I simply ran to zone and there was no problem.

I have a level 16 Dark Elf enchantress and i have a level 32 cleric that was in Gfay at the time so as soon as i made my chanter i took her to Gfay and made a transfer and in illusions i banked and sold in kelethin and used illusions to get into Felwithe to buy spells. I made a Dark Elf necromancer the other day and i took my chanter to neriak and the lowest i was conned was indifferently, all the rest was warmly and amibialy and s few ogre gaurds conned dubiously to me but i do not care much for them anyway...so killing about 100+ orcs i am no longer KoS in any city, i am dubiuos(sp) in Felwithe so i can get in and not be killed, but i can not buy or sell without illusions. I love Crush bone for its good exp and if i stay away from emporer crush and the DE ambassador i am ok with IB faction because i do not think killing orcs raise the faction that low, i was conned indifferently when i approaced the IB guild, plus a enchanter has no business there anyway. I love what i have done with my chanracters and wouldnt take anythnig back, just letting you guys know that you can still kill CB orcs and maintain good faction. =) Have fun

# Feb 07 2002 at 5:35 PM Rating: Default
if you get enough inner and outer faction, then could you get past the guards?
'course then the problem would be the warrior guild only. Anyone know?
RE: inner and outer faction
# Mar 21 2002 at 6:52 PM Rating: Decent
Giving red wine to Lokar in the library in 3rd gate will increase your inner and outer guard, and merchant factions.

These factions will allow you access to the normal area in FQ (not the oger section), with only one npc being different. There is a warrior faction questgiver, but he's only maybe mid teens in level. He won't agro you once he's turned green by a few levels.

There are no guards in commons that are warrior or other guild. Right outside of the Spurned Guildhouse (chanter, mage, wizzie), is a necro "spy" on the dead faction.

In 3rd gate, most guards are either on cleric or dead faction. travel though this zone will require working up those two factions. Of note, moving past the neon curtain at the entrance to the zone will most often cause agro in the cleric guildmaster, unless you're faction is ok.

Read the list. Unfortunately, you probably aren't going to be able to kill any of the NPC's that will raise faction, and being KoS you can't do the quests.
One option is to find a fairly powerful group or a powerful player who will let you do assists as he hunts what you need. If you assist with heals, buffs, you will get the faction adjustment, but not the xp.
Also, watch your other factions, cause you'll probably be lowering them.

They'll lower factions with enemies of Felwithe and Kelethin, but on a PvP teams server, and iksar wouldn't wanna go to those cities anyway.

The wood elves in Timorous Deep are probably the best bet. They give Inner and Outer Dread factions too. Plus, it would be safer on a PvP server because good-aligned player characters are not likely to be out on that island.

# Jun 21 2001 at 4:13 PM Rating: Default
Why must you ppl complain when you F*** up your factions? If you're an evil race/class remember to PLAY EVIL. Don't go off killing things that mess you up in your hometown. IB has a pact with the Orcs in Crushbone? Don't kill them, there's xp in other places. You gain IB faction by killing wood elves, but loose faction with felwithe and kelethin... BIG DEAL! If you're charecter is the type to rub elbows with the Indigo Brotherhood, he shouldn't be flaunting around Wood Elves and High Elves anyway!

Factions are an important part of the game. They tell us where we can go and who we can talk to. Careful planning and strategy when you first START your charecter can give you the foresight to see what you can and can't kill, thus avoiding having to "clean up" with a faction you're gonna need something from later in the game.

I am a DE and i was told that if i killed the guards in neriak commons, i could regain the faction by doing the red wine quest...but that only raises faction with the inner and outer guards, and the dark bargainers. But when you kill guards you lose faction with the IB too, so if i killed the npc's in less fay do you think i would be able to get back into neriak without getting killed??

I found as an Ogre Warrior, Unable to train in Neriak handing in Halfling Skull caps worked just great if your at the least dubious to the warrior guild. You can hand in Skull caps but don't try the orc pawn picks quest. He will just keep the picks. But after doing the quest about 4 or 5 times, I could train there. If you need to bring up the dead faction you can kill the mages near the PoP book in Nektulos Forest. But be careful doing all of these things. The faction hits you take are pretty bad. And if you kill the mages in Nektulos Forest, they are NOT possible to fix without bringing down another faction. I believe it is the Eldrich Collective. Gnome Necromancers or Enchanters guild.

Neriak Banker?
# Mar 04 2001 at 10:33 PM Rating: Default
I started an agnostic high elf enchanter and of course CB would be great exp but i would also like to be able to bank in neriak via illusions.
Two questions:

1) Who exactly in neriak does this faction effect? (i know its warrior guild but is that the guards?)

2) Does this effect the banker?

please respond ;)

Short version

Killed lots of Noble Drop NPC's in Innothule. Lots of negative Kelethin Faction hits (It gives me great pleasure too)

Not a single point of IB faction to my credit. What gives? Does anyone know when this changed? I want IB faction so I can train at the DE War guild.

Elven Slaves are a bit far away at this point.

I was wondering the same thing; any way to raise faction with Indigo Brootherhood without killing Kelethin faction?
Get good Indigo and Kelethin faction!
# Nov 07 2000 at 11:40 PM Rating: Default
Two steps.

1. Kill aqua goblins. They live in Butcher Block, Oasis, Lake Rathetear, etc. Gives good elven faction. You can probably find some that give you XP at your level.

2. Kill elves. Since wood elf warriors and dark elves are opposites, you lose elven and gain inky.

RE: Get good Indigo and Kelethin faction!
# Jan 19 2001 at 4:54 AM Rating: Default
When you kill elves you loose faction with emerald warriors, kelethin merchants, and merchants of felwithe. When you kill aqua goblins you only gain back the faction of the emerald warriors and not faction with the merchants of felwithe and kelethin. So you won't be able to sell in felwithe or kelethin after killing the elves to the point of having good faction with the IB.
RE: Get good Indigo and Kelethin faction!
# Dec 14 2000 at 12:17 AM Rating: Default
Sorry that doesn't work...

The bad faction hits are always much worse then good. Therefore, there is no way you can kill enough aquagoblins, because it will take like 50+ kills to move indigo brothers up a faction level, and maybe 5 kills to move Kelethin faction lvl down
