Shrouding down to a rogue - sneaking and hiding behind Niola AND doing the batwing quest works very well!!! Using the formula I found by this kind soul who posted this (below) in combination with the above website got me to warmly *comparitively* quickly (had killed in OOT, neriak and commons for hours and hours and still threateningly) Using this, went from threateningly to warmly with 1-2 hours. It is now INFINITELY faster as the wings stack to 100.

2100 batwings = 525 faction hits. Amiable spans 400 points, kindly spans 250.



With many sighs of relief and one VERY happy mage who can once again go HOME without being killed! :)

Been doing batwing turnins for a few days now (nothing else I can do since I can't even spawn Faelin Bloodbriar due to the orc arm in gfay - her orc pawn PH doesn't even spawn! And only 4 centurians on track, the rest are the darn war mobs and kelethin guards. (I have /feedbacked on this - so lame to not let druids even really START their epic due to this darn event.)

Started at indifferent to Niola and the other guy. After about 320 bat wings, I'm still at amiable (I'm a halfling.) This is taking forever :-/

I too mucked up my KoA faction while in Najena. I have managed to improve it somewhat through Gix, Jeremy's letter and the key turn ins in CB. Last night though I tried <again> the batwing turn in to Niola and she would not even accept them, "I have no need for those items". Is that quest no good anymore? She used to accept them from me and still be mad, now she just won't take them.

Verant really really needs to address this - I'll be /petitioning every day. HIE 59 Magician. KOS to KoA now due to friggin epic piece in Najeena in 20's. Ever since then I have not been able to get past the friggin Enchanter in the portal room. Can't do any of the quests to raise faction since all the damned turn in points are behind this dorf. guess I'll start camping the Neriak guards. Gix camped for two weeks on and off for total of about 32 hours, got faction messages, faction never budged. hopefully the damned Neriak mobs will be better. or I'll continue my /petition rant with these dorks.

my problem is much bigger. i want to rais faction with keepers of the art with the batwing quest but all NPCs in the caster guild corner in felwithe con ready to attack to me.is kizdean the best solution to raise faction?

Ok, I was dubious to all these quest npc's in Felwithe.. I'm trying to work on my epic, and I have to deal with this guy in Timorous Deep, but he won't say anything nice to me. To fix faction, you do the batwing quest, but she wouldn't speak nicely to me either. So I killed Kizdean a bunch of times (15-30) and still dubious to these people. Then I discovered a letter quest between Felwithe and Jaggedpine.. Bind yourself next to the quest npc in Felwithe, and setup three hotkeys:

1. For Jeremy in JPF:
"I would be willing to deliver a letter to her."

2. For Elishia in Felwithe South:
"I wouldn't mind taking a letter back to him for you."

3. A backpack slot (for quick opening and closing with a number key).

Stay SoW'd, and run to the gemstone to port you to Jaggedpine Forest. In JPF, head south to a large campfire. Don't get excited about the flame graphics. One NPC is standing next to it, named Jeremy. Hit the first hotkey, and it should say that message for you (without the quotes!).

He gives you a letter. Cast Gate. Give letter to Elishia. Remember, I was dubious. Upon hailing, she doesn't have anything nice to say either. But she accepts the letter. Hey, why not? She at least thanks you, then spits in your face if you hail her again. Disconcerting as it is, press your second hotkey and she gives you the letter to take to Jeremy. Hit your third hitkey and drop it in the bottom-left slot. That is because I have a trackball mouse and you don't have to move the pointer if you have the windows lined-up when they open.. so that the slot in the backpack you place a letter will be directly above the GIVE button on the trade window. If you place your mousepointer properly, you only need to left-click and press escape as need be. When giving the letter for example, open backpack, pick it up, close backpack, and use your arrow keys to turn until the npc is under the pointer (leaving it anywhere near the middle of your screen is ideal). So just move the screen instead of the pointer. I was able to complete a full cycle of two letters in approx. 2 minutes. Do this 40 or 50 times, and you become apprehensive, then indifferent. Remember, dubious is a large range, the largest of all of the faction enumerations. Apprehensive was quick to pass through.. maybe 6 to 12 letters to Elishia.

Anyway, camo trick was nerfed. Can't sneak or hide, but maybe that still works. Wolf illusion is no longer an 'illusion' per se, since nobody's fooled. But once I hit indiff, Niola would talk to me, so I just set my bind point beside her then. Then I needed a friend who could buy the batwings from the female erudite in EC near WC.. Filled 3 ten slot backpacks, and kept another 2's worth, open. Gate. Hand in four stacks of 4 at a time. Don't try more than four per stack.. still counts as a stack of four. This can be multi-quested (I put in 3 stacks of 4, you put in one stack and get the xp and faction) so if you get down do 2 stacks left, give them anyway since they're cheap and if no-one already left 2 or more in there, they'll be there when you get back, and get down to your last 2 and get xp because of the time before. (phew)

Anyway.. This takes forever.. I'm now amiable to everyone (I think all of them.. likely no) but Farios (for the epic quest) won't respond to my hails. He stands beside Elishia. He is supposed to be amiable to you AND responsive b4 you give him the crushed pot. So I went through another 15 or so backpacks (150 stacks of 20) and still is amiable and not talking.. Going to continue, but its just annoying. Every 4by4 you hand in, you get back a scroll. You have to have a place for the scroll or else it slow syou down having to destroy it. Definately enable autodestroy for this..

as of june 19th, 2002, wolf form does not change faction, tried all 3 available wolf forms available to me at this time (51 w.elf dru)
and was apprehensive with and without all forms.

I'm doing my epic and Farsight and Impholder, gonna take alot of work to get amiable :(

In Nektulos forest on the way to Lavastorm, some Corporal something-rather attacks me. He cons green, so I fight back. The faction hits on him make no sense, if he's a dark elf, and if he's not, they still don't make sense. Take a look:

Raised:
The Dead (Neriak SK/necor guild)
Lowered:
King Tearis Thex (ruler of Felwithe)
Dark Bargainers (Neriak Merchants)
Dread Guard Outer (Dark elf guards in Nektulos forest)
Dread Guard Inner (Dark elf guards in Neriak)
Keepers of the Art (Felwithe caster guild)

This makes no sense to me. If this guy is a dark elf guard, why did The Dead go up? And Tearis Thex and Keeprs of the Art go down? And if he was a high elf, why did it lower Dark Bargainers and Dread Guard? Is this guy some kind of double agent? Anone know what the deal is with this guy?

working on my druid epic, but my faction with keepers of art is bad. If done the batwing quest and still no change ive turned in 2600 batwings and she still wants to cut out my tonuge. Ive also done the taskmaster quest still no change. Can you give me any suggestion

YOU CAN ALSO FREE THE SLAVES IN CRUSHBONE, THE HIGH ELVES EFFECT THIS FACTION

i when to Td a few days ago and alrik wound not talk to me i was indifferent to him so i did the bat wing quest and keeped on comeing back about ever 1k i turned in. now i am allyed with him and he still will not give me a crushed pot. plz help!

well i have turned in at least 1000 batwings and i am amiable to farios elianos but he STILL wont talk to me....i have no clue what to do but keep turning in these stupid wings. i dont know if i have to be an alie or what. i have been trying to look up this part but i cant find anything on it saying if you have to be amiable or and alie to farios. please help if you can i want to get this epic stuff over and done with asap.

I Spent all day finding a way to raise my faction so I could do this part of the quesst.
I petitioned a GM and she told me she couldn't give away anyway to help me because of their rules put on them but I discovered away around some of hte programming verant was done.
You cannot hand items into people now while invised it makes you visible even though the icon is still there.

Sneak and hide are also removed when you try to hand items to someone (NPC not PC)

So I discovered a way to get quick faction without the need to kill Gix for 2weeks straight.

It is rather simple
-You need indifferent faction to do the bat wing quest
-Invis gives you indiff but is removed when u hand something in
-So you have to do the follow

*You have to be NON KOS to the keepers of the art
*You have to have a friend that is NON KOS to the keepers of the art.
*Your friends has to be able to cast invisible on you

So you go to EC and buy about 30stacks or bat wings and go to felewith and sit infront of Niola Impholder and hand her the items not 4b at wings at a time.....but 4 bat wins in every trade box (16 bat wings). Then tell your friend to invis you and after you r invised hit trade.


Tada you complete the quest 4 times in one try....
rinse and repeat till your faction is indifferent without the invis and you can do the quest on your own.

I was able to bring my faction from dub to amiably in about 2hours doing this and only toke an hour of the invisible trick to get to indifferent....

So hope this helps you out.

and your thoughs of you that are KOS to the keepers of the art I have two things to say I pity you......and get ready to camp gix.

You can kill Kizdean Gix in the West Commonlands. He gives plus Keepers of the Art faction when he is killed but be warned he's major dangerous!

I made a big booboo and killed this lady in najena. Now i need to raise my raction with the Keepers of the Art...being a Highelf this is my guild :(. Any good ideas that my work?
