Considering Ive done this quest half a dozen times, doesn't the Qeynos Banker come under 'Banker' Faction? I mean, your right there, in/near the Qeynos bank to do the finish the quest....just an idea

I have raised almost every faction in Norrath to ally, being an ogre, raising all the dwarf factions, including warrior faction and Kazon Stormhammer and keeping my perfect ogre faction is quite impressive. Not to brag, just to say this is by far the hardest faction I have ever seen.

The only way to raise this is the Tribunal Initiate quest, which isn't very easy, can get annoying and a little confusing at times.

Anyway, I know that this does not include the FREEPORT BANKER, the freeport banker is on the faction "CommonsResidents". By killing an orc, you raise every single North Freeport Faction and the monk (Ashen Order) faction.

Freeport Militia different story.

So, anyway, anyone know what banker this faction referrs to?

This faction is the faction of the Qeynos banker (the one in South Qeynos, not the one in Qeynos Aqueducts) and his Barbarian guards. Nobody else in the game is on this faction, and everybody seems to start out indifferent to Banker faction. I can confirm myself that an Iksar Monk who has done nothing to raise non-Kunark factions at all is indifferent to these guys.

And the NFP banker is on "Coalition of Tradefolk" faction, which is the "good" Freeport merchant faction. My necro is KOS to Commons Residents, but Amiable to Freeport merchants, and to the banker as well.

Killing orcs does not raise every NFP faction, sorry. Two that you definitely need to consider if you plan to bank are Priests of Marr (clerics) and Bards of Antonica (duh). Both of them are easy to run into when heading to the bank. You can raise cleric faction by killing members of the Freeport Militia; e.g. Guard Tolus and Sergeant Slate. You can raise faction with bards by killing stuff in Mistmoore. If you're an evil trying to bank in NFP, do not forget these two factions.

Raising Freeport banker faction is east. They are under "Common Residents". Orcs in EC and WC will raise this. Trust me, I'm an Iksar and can now bank there.

Ok, there is no way to gain Banker faction I dont believe, for Iksar Monks, Feign Death at his feet and do your banking!
Then get up and run out as fast as possible, SoW helps alot, if he attacks you, just Feign Death again and he will go back to his spot eventually.

How do you raise faction with the banker in the Tree town? I have a troll that has been slaying orcs in crush like crazy. I am able to enter the town, but the banker hates me still.

Kelethin, and Felwith banker, are not on Scouts of Tunare faction.

Thos two bankers do not match ANY of the other factions in the cities.

My factions, atm:

Paladins/clerics: ally
Ranger: ally
Druid: warmly
Guards/warriors: dubious
Rogues: dubious
Merchants: dubious
Intel Casters: Ready to attack (oops)
Bards: ready to attack

The bankers con: threatning.....

Nope, these bankers are on Merchants faction. This is not conjecture, but a 100% confirmed fact.

The actual merchants themselves only glower dubiously to you because they are merchants. Merchants are never KOS to anyone - they (the individual PCs, not the faction as a whole) never get below dubious to prevent problems with merchants aggroing passersby and getting pulled out of place, which makes them closed for business until a zone repop or a reset from a GM or Guide.

My Gnome necro, for example, was KoS to "Commons Residents" faction before mass slaughter of Orcs, yet the merchants on that faction glowered dubiously to her. However, when she visited Freeport, where there are NPCs on that faction who are not merchants, they aggroed her instantly. (But she's a necro - she just killed them. ;-))

Anyway, it's 100% confirmed - the unpleasant ways of increasing Merchants faction (shark meat quest, etc.) definitely work on the banker - that's definitely their faction.

i would imagine this faction is for the bankers that seem to be on their own faction. those would be the kelethin and felwith bankers not sure about the bankers in kaladim or ankon'non. could be the barbarians too. every other merchant is on the city merchant faction as far as i can tell

So I did the quest, and I got the faction... does nobody know what it means? anyone? anyone at all?
#Pigchild, Posted: May 23 2001 at 9:49 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It will never effect you. There is 1 quest to raise it. I don't even expect people to come see this message and give it an awful rating. All I can tell is it seems to be connected to the Qeynos bank. Maybe the guards... Who knows? Who cares? Not me.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 24 2001 at 6:35 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i used to fish alot but then i found out going out and killing things and leveling is much easier
