Easiest method for raising this faction:

Pop into Mines of Gloomingdeep (the Tutorial). On the merchant there, you should find literally hundreds of Piece of Rat Fur sold by players. Do the Rat Fur Cap quest given by Menkes Tabolet in Qeynos. Two Pieces of Rat Fur + three gold pieces = positive increase in QeynosCitizen.

For years, I have been unable to buy the specialty ores from Yaken Oreslinger South Qeynos. Apparently, years ago I killed a few beggars in the Catacombs and wrecked my faction with Yakem. Finally figured out to repair this faction without having to kill thousands of rodents running around Qeynos.

After eight or nine years, people are still working on faction quests for the original zones. And there is probably no use to it. But hey, I do other stupid in game things also. So have fun!

Hey So Im trying to find out if there is an easier way to fix faction with qeynos Ive been killing gnolls and someone told me to collect gnolls fangs and turn them in but I havent been able to find the NPC's name . Im probably looking in thw wrong place but anyway Any other ideas or ways to fix faction would be appreciated. Thanks Bunches Anderian Valundra

i havent played eq since planes of power and i had a lvl 40 war. I just want to know if the warrior is now still a good tank, or is it better to be a shadownight or pally?

My friend's playing a troll shammy on innoruuk. He just spend the past 2 days killing gnolls in Blackburrow to get non kos to good guards. Handed in about 120 gnoll teeth which made him apprehensive to good guards and (more) kos to bad ones. Merchants at this point were indifferent. Then he camped a few hours (offering buffs and some plat) for all the "orc scalps" he could find in Crushbone. Took the scalps and handed them in to Capt. Ashlin in Highhold Keep.....started being slightly above dubious ( Apprehensive or just at the minimum faction for handing them in and not getting the message of them " having nothing to do w/ the likes of you") after 72 gnoll scalps he was Ally to HHK guards and apprehensive to all guards (good and bad) in Qeynos. Still a few common citizens he has to watch for, since they will aggro and bring the guards (good and bad) with them. Just needs to correct his bard faction and do a bit of temple of light/thunder faction to be 90% safe there.

I found a nethier ban chitin is gfay off a drunkerd i boght it for 7pp so i look at drunkerd place for armor the sells them very cheap! So that what i do alot for armor i found a froglock tunic to but it was 150 and i had 100 but no one would spare me 50pp there can some times be good stuff ok drunkerd!! so look on them

Ok... here it goes.

Yes, turning in the Tanned Split Paw Skins (same as for Gem Inlaid Gauntlets) in to Edvard Tommels raises this faction. It also gets some decent coin and an occasional Karana's Tear (+5 Stamina Earring).

Having 'grown up' in Qeynos, I've worked out a slow, painful way to become max-ally with *just about* everyone in the city. There are a few irregularities that I haven't quite figured out yet (All 3 are in South Qeynos. Danaria Hollin, Ellisha, and Lylanthian). Danaria is an Enchanter (you can tell by pet, thusly a Craft Keeper), and Ellisha is a Wizard ("Lylanthian begins to radiate", thusly Crimson Hands). As for Lylanthian, I'm just not sure.

Ok... the plan. If you are KoS to Order of Three or League of Antonican Bards, you will need a Wolf Form (or a trip to Mistmoore for Bard faction). If KoS to Wolves of the North, you'll have to be sneaky and do a *lot* of Cindl quests to get Steel Warriors fac up without going all the way to Freeport.

First Step- Whack gnolls... lots and lots of gnolls. This solves several factions. Guards of Qeynos, Jaggedpine Treefolk (taking down one step needed for safe druid porting. There are a few of these in South Qeynos), Silent Fist Clan (Monks, NQ), and Merchants (the toughest people of all).

Merchants are important. As you go, you'll need to buy Moonstones sold to them by players. Turning them in to the back of Fish's Ale boosts Knights of Thunder and Priests of Life... as soon as you're out of KoS to the Knights, you can turn in Bandit Sashes...

Collect Gnoll fangs and turn them in *in Halas*. I say this because you want to avoid taking bad hits to corrupt guards... trust me. Turning them in to Lysbeth will get Steel Warriors faction.

Next Step- Bandits and Raiders in the Karanas. More guard faction, Karana residents (yes, there are a few in Qeynos under this faction), Highpass Guards (which you'll need later in this progression), and a tediously small Circle of Unseen Hands hit. A positive hit, though... is a positive hit.
Turn in the red Sashes to the Knights of Thunder for *even more* guard faction, Knights, and Priests faction. This will, however, slaughter Blood Sabre faction...

How to fix the evil factions of Qeynos and not change sides? There's a few ways. If you've killed enough Bandits to get into Highpass, you can turn in Orc scalps for a +Corrupt Guard hit and no negative hits. (Left Goblin ears and Gnoll scalps may help as well, but by report, Orc scalp is the best +CQG hit). This, however, is *really* annoying, and annoys everyone else as you farm the scalps. The other route requires a lot of money and patience... 5gp to Guard Shilster. This will give a positive hit to *all* evil factions in Qeynos (corrupt guard, bloodsabre, Circle, and even Kane Bayle himself) all for the sacrifice of some Guards of Qeynos faction... and we all know how easy they are to please. ;) Clear a couple bandit camps on the way back to Qeynos, and you should be alright.

If you're at least dubious to bards, then you can do the first half of the bard reports quest for faction. Returning the report won't get you faction until you're up to apprehensive or so. That was my experience, at least. Details are here:

I suggest going for Anehan or Behroe since it won't require you to zone. This is also good if you're doing the quest under wolf form.

For Antonius and Kane Bayle faction, do the evil version of The Crate quest. Be sure to watch your good Guard faction and Circle of Unseen hands faction (That's right... *more* bandits). This also gains Bloodsabre faction and only costs your patience as opposed to 5gp and a trip to NorthK.

The true terror in faction for Qeynos is the Order of Three. The Letter to Neclo quest is about your only way...

...and causes a Bloodsabre hit. Oh Shilster, Baby... Unless you have a druid or two who really love you, or some sort of illusion to make these guys friendly, the Order of Three is a loss to those KoS to them.

The last remaining factions I haven't covered yet in all this are Qeynos Citizens and Banker. The Copperholds, Erecon, and Dun seem to be indifferent to *everybody*. If a DE Necromancer of Innoruuk is Indiff, I think they're safe. If Indifferent just isn't good enough, the Initiate Symbol of the Tribunal quest is the only way I know of to raise Banker faction.

I don't know if everyone starts indifferent to the Qeynos Citizen faction. Tesch Val scrolls seems to be the only way up, though.

At this point(May 8, 2002), I'm only indifferent to 2 groups in Qeynos as I put this plan into effect: Q Citizen and Order of Three. There are, however, a number of guild merchants selling spells that're still conning indifferent, while other merchants con with their guild or Merchants of Qeynos faction. These merchants may well be on the Citizen faction.

If you have the time and the insanity, it can be done.

How an you rais faction for the bad garuds in Qeynos?

Here are 2 ways. 1. Kill the gnolls for Qyenos citizen faction. For the gaurds this is a bit tricky. Get a 39+ druid to wolf form you. This character also needs to have a dump character. Why? Because it gets the dump KOS fast. The dump character should be a warrior in Qyenos, put the initial 5 points into swordplay. Then have the dump character go to the pool and give him shurikins and have him kill the fish. This is where the shurikins come in. Use them to draw the fish to the stairs to kill it. After the fight inspect the fish but do not pick up the fish part, it is no drop. If you dont inspect it it will dissapear before you can get it. Give it to the gaurd behind the pool. Name unk atm. 2. Go to Surefall Glades with a 39+ druid and wolf form inside the zone, of if porting into SFG, camo then port in and go to empty area and wolf form, then go to Geneal inside the druid tree and hail him, say I will deliver the flask. Get the nitrates, and port to steamfont. Go into the City under camo. Wolf form again and go to the gnome in the city bye the zoo. If you get to the area with the bank go past the pole as you enter the room, and at bottom of stairs look left. There is a passage. He is at the end of it. Give him the nitrates and he gives you reguritonic. Port to NK or WK or run there, and go to the barbarian village and give the flask to the named wolf, like ice or snow something. Sorry atm I can not find the name. He coughs up the regurgitonic. BTW this all gets you faction ups. Then return fish to the gaurd at the pool. Remember to wolf form for this. If you come to Vesheen I can help you if you need. Ask for Shyvalya from Guild Utopian Eventide. PS REMEMBER TO WOLF FORM TO ALL NPCs IN THIS QUEST! Or you may die.

if im a erudite nec how can i get my facton up with the gards and the merchents in erudin and qeynos merchants and gurds?

I know killing escapee Splitpaw gnolls raises faction with the citizens.

Everyone keeps talking about how you can lower your faction. Well, who wants to lower their faction any how. Can someone please post where you can raise faction with qeynos guards and citezens. I know that Blackburrow raises faction with qeynos.

the bandits in Lake of Rathetear raises faction with Qeynos Gaurds and other factions as well. there are two bandit camps. they con'd green to my 38 shammy, so not sure of their lvl, but they don't last long against my 34th lvl pet, so can't be very hard. maybe lvl 8-10, but is only a guess

how can i raise faction with the steamfont guards

I heard somewhere that there is a guard who loves muffins... if you give him tons of muffins your guards faction will go up... anyone know his name?

I am lvl 20 cleric. I helped killing two treants in south Karana, and now The House of Thunder (clerics and pals in Queynos) is closed to me.

Does anyone know how to rais kaladim citizens faction seem syou can rais other citizen faction but not kaladim.

There is a NPC in South Q called Minkus Talbet he is on this faction. My Oger final got into SQ and he attaked me (very green when i was 18th) I could not run to the zone with him on me for fear of agroing guards, so I killed him, and took a hit on this faction. He has several newie quest involving rat parts but it has been so long I dont remember if they raise this faction.

Since it isn't posted here, just thought I would let people know that killing the beggars in the Qeynos Aqueducts does lower your faction with QeynosCitizens, so I wouldn't highly recommend doing so.

I once used a bolt spell in the aqueducts of Qeynos and accidentally hit a beggar instead. It said my faction with the Qeynos Citizens got worse. Beggars were also indifferent and are now apprehensive

im a wood elf and the residents of queynos have bad faction with me from the start. they wouldn't even sell to me before i did faction quests. just a notice for newbies.
