I think the final turn in for any of the epics listed here gives you a negative faction hit, at least it did on my shammy. As a ranger, I did several parts of the epic for my shaman that all give positive faction and am max ally, while my shaman is not. I do remember a hit to TS on final turn in, maybe a way to make it harder for others to MQ after they have done the quest for themselves.

I can confirm that raising this action by getting the gem from killing Captain Surestout in OoT on cyclops island. He goes down fast. Talk to the spirit like the beginning of Shaman epic 1.0, deliver the gem to Bondl Felligan. He is at the north entrance of West Freeport sewers. Head to north wall outside the gate. go right at the third wall section from where wall heads north and turns west. Biggest trick is to bind yourself in pok. makes transitions from Freeport to Butcherblock and back shorter. You may get back before boat leaves and not have to wait the extra 10 mins for it to return.

I trid haling him and tried turning in 1k and 2k plat and he wouldt take it...

My wizard has done 1.0 - well, all epics. I forgot what faction I ended up at. I think amiable or something. I looted a Child's Tear in Fear and the MQ wouldn't work - turns out it needs max Truespirit to work. So, I went to Camin and did the paying for faction approach.

It cost me precisely 191,000 platinum to get max ally.
Perhaps they've nerfed it to make it require that much more money but I can definitly confirm that it took that much.

do factiion pre quest with shaman kill pegleg and turnin gem in fp look further down for specifics but just did this and from appensively too amialby right now going for ally before i stop once you are too indifferent no longer need invis

A guildmate is really struggling with Wizard epic 1.0 and the Camin (spelling) turn-in. He has done the plat turn in a bunch but not getting results he wants. I see a lot of posts here, but many saying that "this was nerfed". So what works now? Please share if you have insight on ways that work to raise True Spirit faction for a wizard.

I started the epic using the money technique, giving him 1000pp after the note hand in and 1000pp after Camin says his knowledge will cost. I get to Halas and have no problem getting the potion. But when I turn the potion into Camin, he says I am too inexperienced to have something like this and doesn't return the bottle. Epic is broken. I don't know if faction is a problem because he now cons indifferent to me, or if my level is too low (I was 46 when I did the turn ins). Anyone have this problem? I did not see in Graffe's description of the epic that I had to be a certain level to start.

Faction can be raised with TS by handing Camin 1000 platinum... (costly but easy)

All parts of the ench epic raise this faction.

You can raise Truespirit Faction by giving Modani Qu'Loni the parts for the enchanter epic. It's a bitch, but I did it and noticed the positive faction hit.

well, if ur Kos and can't do the quest, help a friend who has it and when it gets to the part where u loot it u loot it insdtead of him might work.

If i kill lesser Spirit i will lose Faction with True Spirit? anyone know?

I need Kinlo for druid epic. Gotta hand in Jade reaver but hes not talking!! I con Dubious but he doesnt attack me till several hails. Can an enchanter charm him and I do the quest then?? Does that really work?? Thanks...

I was planning on advancing my epic when I got stopped at Camin in Erudin with an apprehensive faction. Went to all website and all I found to raise my faction with True Spirit was a post about the shaman quest with lesser spirit on Gormit Island. Verant, however, in their infinite wisdom had changed some things since the quest was last done and it was not functioning with camping to get a 15 seconds indifferent faction with all mobs when you relog. Being apprehensive to the lesser spirit, I couldn’t hail him to obtain the gem I needed to raise faction. I decided to go around the obstacle with this old trick.
Most information you will find bellow were already posted. The person who posted it remained anon for some reason. To whomever that may be, thank you for the basics of the quest. I just edited his post to match what I did to raise my faction from apprehensive to indifferent.

1. Ask a high lvl Enchanter friend of yours if he can help for an hour or two.

2. Take boat to OOT, go to Gornit Island and bind yourselves at loc. p680 n5325.

3. Set up the following hot keys. I numbered mine 1-4 just to make things easier.
1. /say yes
2. /say he threatened my life
3. /say who are you
4. /say I wish to know more

4. Kill Capt Surestout. He is in the tent. Lesser spirit spawns.

5. Enchanter now charms the lesser spirit. That will make him indifferent to you.

6. Hail him. Hit your hot keys in order. No need to rush he is charmed. He should give you a tiny gem.

7. Port you and your Enchanter friend to N Ro. run to N Freeport to the NW corner of the zone. (Near the building where they sell muffins) Jump in water swim through tunnel a short distance you will see a break in the wall with an NPC named Bondl Felligan. His loc is P460, N20.

8. Now follow the order precisely here: 1- Hand Bondl the Gem. DO NOT HIT “GIVE” BUTTON RIGHT AWAY! If you are apprehensive you will lose gem. 2- Ask your enchanter to cast invis on you. Once invis, you become indifferent to him. 3-Now is time to press “GIVE” button.

9. Your faction with True Spirit got better.
You gain party experience.

10. Gate to bind point, repeat. Lesser may still be up for a couple of trips. Check faction till you are indifferent to Bondl(Remember the spirit is charmed and will con indifferent to you.).

Final notes. I had to do this quest 6 times to get from apprehensive to indiff. Binding there helps a lot because of downtime that would be caused by the boat ride. Once you are indifferent you no longer need the help of the enchanter to charm the spirit and invis you in NFP. The Enchanter helping me did the quest along with me. Why not? He is there and has to go both location of quest. Good faction with someone cannot hurt you can it?J Thank you Elvorfing (Enchanter extraordinaire) for helping with this quest.

So was the faction being neutral for 10 seconds after you zone, so apparently if you are a wizard and cannot get Camin to speak to you you will never be able to get your wizard epic quest, since there seem to be no mobs that offer a positive faction hit for true spirit

The new Trick that involves capt surestrout doesn't work anyone either. Anyone have another way of raising true spirit?

The True Spirit Faction is needed to complete the Epic Quest for Shaman. Your faction needs to be at a certain level in order to continue to the next part of the quest. It is possible to increase your faction with the True Spirits by repeatedly completing the first part of the quest.
