You can kill Moltak in the Temple of Solusek Ro, to reset your faction to begin any of the epic 1.0s. If you are positive though, it resets the faction completely, back to the beginning....be careful with him LOL

Added him to the faction. It will say on here that it raises faction but added on his NPC page that killing him will reset Truespirit faction to 0.

Lazy way to getting faction

You need a Druid with Circle of Butcherblock, and Enchanter with Dire Charm (regular charm will work but it will break), and if the recipient of the faction isn't a Gate caster then a Wizard with Translocate.

1 - Druid and recipient goto West Freeport outside the invisible wall where Bondl Felligan is and Bind Affinity there. Then port to Butcherblock.

2 - Have Enchanter pull Peg Leg in Butcherblock to Druid ring where Druid and recipient are waiting. Kill Peg Leg and charm the spirit.

3 - Recipient targets spirit and says "I wish to know more" then Druid and recipient port back to West Freeport and hand in the gem. Repeat 2-3 until max ally.

3a - If recipient isn't a gate caster, have Wizard Translocate to bind the recipient back to West Freeport and hand in the gem. Repeat 2-3a until max ally.

This cuts out unnecessary zoning and running making it faster. Haven't tried the binding in West Freeport part yet but I don't see a problem.

I wanted to get my SK's truespirit faction up so I could skip the starting part of the epic 1.0 quest and avoid having to use invis to do the rest.

I went to Butcherblock with my SK and ENC. I killed Peg Leg with the ENC and charmed the spirit. This makes the spirit indifferent to my SK. I said "I wish to know more" to the spirit and ran my SK and ENC back to the PoK book and zoned into PoK.

I then ran them both to the Freeport stone and zoned into West Freeport. I ran to the entrance to Freeport sewers where Bondl Felligan is. I opened the trade window with the Tiny Gem and had my ENC cast invis on my SK and clicked trade and got the experience and faction message. Earlier I had tried charming Bondl and doing the turn in but only got experience but no faction. The first turn in got me to indifferent with Bondl. Which means I didn't have to use invis for any further turn ins.

I ran back to Butcherblock and repeated the sequence again except this time I left the ENC at the PoK stone in BB with the lesser spirit as his pet. This made it quicker to get the Tiny Gem and turn it in. The second turn in got me to amiable and 4 more got me to kindly and that was probably way more than I needed to avoid using invis.

After reading how to easily raise the True Spirit (TS) faction we set out to accomplish the same thing. Won't pain you with our learning curve but here's how we ended up. Depending on how fast you zone, you can do this under 60 seconds per lap.

We used 3 toons.

--Shammy working the epic.
--Charming class, we used an enchanter.
--Druid.

-- Bind the Shammy near Bondl Felligan in Freeport.
-- Leave the druid near Bondl, load translocate Butcher in his spellset.
-- Have the enchanter kill peg leg and charm the spirit (village Western part of zone about halway to the docks from the druid port).
-- The enchanter should take the lesser spirit to the druid port in Butcher and keep him there. Recharm when necessary.
-- Make a macro on the Shammy that has this text:

/pause 5, /tar a lesser spirit
/say I wish to know more

Now your are ready. Repeat this until you get the "unable to raise your faction" emote from the turn-in at Bondl.
NOTE** You may have to invis the 1st turn in or two until you are better than apprehesive with Bondl.

1. Druid: Translocate Butcher on the Shammy.
2. Shammy: Click the macro.
3. Shammy: Gate
4. Shammy: Hand in the gem. [don''t forget to invis early on if faction is poor]

Repeat starting at 1

This would be a sound strategy except for the fact that druids get Succor: Butcher, Circle of Butcher and Ring of Butcher. No single target wizard type translocation to Butcherblock. Wizards also don't get port spells to Butcherblock. Some minor adjusting. Have your druid bind near Bondl. Then group port to butcherblock. Then gate back to spot near Bondl. EDIT: On April 2nd 2014 a patch was put in. This was in the patch Druids - New Zephyrs have been created for each location that previously had both a Ring and a Circle spell. These new scrolls are available in the same locations as the originals.

It took me handing in 20 gems to go from indifferent (which is what my shaman started at) to max ally.

I had an enchanter in Butcherblock Mountains "dire charm" the spirit and take it to the druid port. (the spirit is a level 1, so dire charm was easy)
I had a druid go to West Freeport and load their level 33 spell "Zephyr: Butcherblock" (since druid ports now have a zephyr counterpart)
I bound myself in West Freeport next to Bondl Felligan, loaded "gate" and created a hotbutton as Ebdurain said:

/pause 5, /tar a_lesser_spirit
/say I wish to know more

Druid zephyred me to Butcherblock
I hit the hotbutton to get the gem
Cast gate (cast gate again when it would collapse)
Hand in gem
Druid zephyred me to Butcherblock
blah
blah
blah

It took 1 gem to go from indifferently to amiably
It took 4 gems to go from amiably to kindly
It took 3 gems to go from kindly to warmly
It took 3 gems to go from warmly to ally
It took 9 gems to go from ally to max ally (Your faction standing with Truespirit could not possibly get any better)

Each time I turned in a gem I received a faction adjustment of "100".

I was slow to start, so it took me 45 minutes to get it done...but it can be done much faster.

I found a shaman who wanted the child's tear I had looted a month or so ago on my wizard. We discovered I was apprehensive. So this is what we did. I went to butcherblock and killed peg leg. that spawned the lesser spirit. I used puppet strings to charm the lesser spirit and said " I wish to know more" receiving a tiny gem. gated to pok, ran to Freeport, went to Bindl, started to hand in the tiny gem but before hitting trade got invis from shaman and it worked. my faction went up. from app to indiff. So I ran back to peg leg and bound there. and repeated the kills / dialogue / hand ins ( once indiff you need no charming or invising). I could have used 2ndary bind at Bindl, but I didn't want my 2nd bind spot changed. I believe each gem hand in is 200 points. it took 1 to go from app to indiff ( not a big enough sample ). then 1 to go from indiff to amiable ( my first clue). then 4 to get to kindly, 3 to warmly and 3 to ally. then it took 8 more to hit max ally. ( but I had to hand in a 9th to SEE the max ally message).

in the emerald forrest, i gave the gem to the sentinel spirit. when i type 'I will continue what I have started.' it responds with you have yet to prove yourself to our cause or something like that... i followed the steps to get to this point. what else do i have to do to continue? i even went to mistmoore to go after the dire wolf, and even he says the same thing??

You need to go back and re-do one of the earlier parts of epic that gives Truespirit faction, I had to do this 3 times until the wolf gave me the next line of script.

When i was doing my druid epic i had no problem with the withered treant. in fact, the treants all con amiable to me. and i remember a long time ago seeing a lesser spirit spawn in Butcherblock and he talked to me. But now it says that i am dubious to all the truespirit creatures. i have never killed a named that was listed as being on this faction. So what happened and how does a druid get faction back?

I think the final turn in for any of the epics listed here gives you a negative faction hit, at least it did on my shammy. As a ranger, I did several parts of the epic for my shaman that all give positive faction and am max ally, while my shaman is not. I do remember a hit to TS on final turn in, maybe a way to make it harder for others to MQ after they have done the quest for themselves.

The 4 epic quests listed all raise your faction.

Which also means if you have done the epic quest you probably have good faction here. The wizard epic has a negative faction hit on the final segment so perhaps he has lower faction than the other 3 epics.

So if you are trying to MQ an item, the person doing the turn-in might need good Truespirit faction. I found this to be true for the SK epic when turning in the Soul leech. My necro could not do the turn in but my shaman who had done her epic could do the MQ turn in.

I conned the turn in mob with my shaman and was only indifferent. I'm rather doubtful indifferent is good enough and I suspect the con is on another faction.

I can confirm that raising this action by getting the gem from killing Captain Surestout in OoT on cyclops island. He goes down fast. Talk to the spirit like the beginning of Shaman epic 1.0, deliver the gem to Bondl Felligan. He is at the north entrance of West Freeport sewers. Head to north wall outside the gate. go right at the third wall section from where wall heads north and turns west. Biggest trick is to bind yourself in pok. makes transitions from Freeport to Butcherblock and back shorter. You may get back before boat leaves and not have to wait the extra 10 mins for it to return.

My wizard has done 1.0 - well, all epics. I forgot what faction I ended up at. I think amiable or something. I looted a Child's Tear in Fear and the MQ wouldn't work - turns out it needs max Truespirit to work. So, I went to Camin and did the paying for faction approach.

It cost me precisely 191,000 platinum to get max ally.
Perhaps they've nerfed it to make it require that much more money but I can definitly confirm that it took that much.

Camin in Erudin WILL boost your Truespirit faction by giving him 1k plat per hand in. I went from Indifferent to Ally on my Barb Shaman in 92 hand ins. (Yes that is 92k plat).

He is located upstairs of the inn (first building on left wall when u zone into Erudin) he stays in the first room on the left upstairs.

Is there something you can do to get your faction up with TS?? I apparently messed mine up when I accidently killed a lesser spirit in BB (got caught in one of my rain spells just as peg leg died). I didn't see a faction message when it died but it says something about go away before I see how much I can get for the tongue of a blathering fool....

any help?

A guildmate is really struggling with Wizard epic 1.0 and the Camin (spelling) turn-in. He has done the plat turn in a bunch but not getting results he wants. I see a lot of posts here, but many saying that "this was nerfed". So what works now? Please share if you have insight on ways that work to raise True Spirit faction for a wizard.

Thanks.

Shammies and Scholars,

I recently stomped on Black Dire, and found his skin on him... After asking all the shammies in my guild and on our server's market channel, having found no one willing to take it, I looted it. Now, I am curious. Does anyone know the minimum faction required to turn this pelt in, and successfully get the boots? I don't want to go through the beginning of the quest... Patience is for shammies =P. Please reply either here, or at edhelinde@sbcglobal.net

You need kindly Truespirit faction to turn in the pelt. You'd be hard pressed to achieve this without going through the beginning steps of the Shaman epic.

However, only Shamans can use those boots, even from inventory, so it won't do you any good at all to turn in the pelt. Just destroy it.

I seem to have apprehensive faction. Lesser Spirit won't say nice things to me. So beginning of Shammy epic is not an option for me yet :(
As a wizard, I have done initial portion of my epic, [I have the potion after the whole 1000pp and port here, and port there thing]

As far as I can see there are no mobs that you can kill to raise True Spirit faction. All I can think of is to do the 1000pp hand in again. Usually takes me a couple weeks to make 1000pp [IGs and HGs constantly camped, and sitting in Bazaar for hours is rarely an option for me]

I have heard that handing the note from Solomon to Camin only raises your TS faction the first time. That would have saved a lot of cash.

This is going to take a while (

Ok doing the first first turn on wiz Ephic
I am a 55 Eurodite wizard

After you give Camin the leter and you get the faction up

he still will not talk to me..
Should I give him the 1k or not ..

I would rather not eat the 1k plat so ..

is thare a confurmed YES or NO

Should I waste my time trying to figure out how to get faction ..

or should I just try the 1k and hope for the best.

I have herd both sides saying yes do it or no don't..
is thare any confurmed NO you will loose the cash.

and if so what is a easy way to get my faction up?

thanks

I started the epic using the money technique, giving him 1000pp after the note hand in and 1000pp after Camin says his knowledge will cost. I get to Halas and have no problem getting the potion. But when I turn the potion into Camin, he says I am too inexperienced to have something like this and doesn't return the bottle. Epic is broken. I don't know if faction is a problem because he now cons indifferent to me, or if my level is too low (I was 46 when I did the turn ins). Anyone have this problem? I did not see in Graffe's description of the epic that I had to be a certain level to start.

Had a mage. Decided he wanted sow boots. Wanted to see if they'd work out of inventory slot since some class/race specific things will even if you're not of appropriate class/race. Okay.

ported mage and a druid to WC, ran both to north freeport. Bound near Bondl. loaded up circle of butcher. ported there and took an enchanter with.

pulled pegleg to ring. killed him. charmed spirit, now indiff to all. said last phrase. got gem. gated self and druid. chanter stays to keep spirit charmed.

went up to bondl. popped trade window with gem. invised from druid. clicked trade. faction. followed bondl to the point where he stops and asks his question - since he stands there for a bit. rebound there. ported back to butcher. got gem again. gate, repeat until desired faction. took him 10 or so times to go from dubious to amiable.

On an aside, he got the sow booties, 'your race/class/deity cannot use this item' some of you may say 'duh.' stranger things have worked.

Ah well, it was something to do. Xtik seemed to enjoy the fuzzy boots till mage reclaimed him.
