Ok I am a ERU NEC and i like the Kerrans. is it possible for a rngr Dru or ect to cast invis or illusion on me so i can hail the guys to do the quest so i can not be KOs ?
I've been reading through the old posts here on the Kerran faction, and noticed a lot of people saying things changing from indif to apprehensive, or dubious to apprehensive and the like.. Basicly, all bad/good deads erased to apprehensive..
I have a feeling it has absolutely nothing to do with who you've killed or done otherwise, no mystieriously unlisted faction hit for the Kerrans, but the simple fact that Kerrans are supposed to be the new playable race coming up.
It makes perfect sense... Verant started working on this in the begining of this year, so would have started making small changes to prepare the area for PC kitties, such as removing the heritics, giving Mitty's Paw rings to another NPC, etc, so you don't have to kill her (killing player town people seems frowned upon and all).. But the most noticable thing I can think of is this-
Most 'neutral' monster start off Indifferent to players. All townsmembers that are not familar to you and your quests/kills for them, say, FP's guards to a RV halfing visiting for the first time, start off as Apprehensive, instead..
It looks like, in preparing to make this spot a player town (which is only a guess that this is the actual zone the karrens will start in, but to be honest, it's already mapped that it'd make a perfect town), they clensed the faction to a more townlike setting.
I guess it really depends on how long ago people were dubous when they last checked, to know for sure.

My theory is that some of the Kerra kerrans are not just on Kerra Isle faction, but also Heretics faction. There is a quest started in the Paineel Necro house, that sends you to Kerra Isle. Possibly, some of the kerrans may have Heretics faction, which will override the Kerra Isle faction.
Just an idea...

If you kill an Erudite emmisionary in the Tox forest you can turn it in to the leader of the Kerrans. I have yet to complete this quest because the Erudites are already apprehensive to my gnome wzd so I plan on getting faction by killing kobold runts first. I don't want to be KOS to the erudites because of they have a lot of the wizard spells.
Is it possible for there to be a faction adjustment that is not listed in the faction message following a kill?
Here is why I ask....My druid hunted the front guards in Kerra when he was young - and became dubious. When he tried to get quests he was rudely dismissed.
Later he hunted a particular NPC in Erud - who shall remain nameless as he is getting camped enough (poor NICE guy ) - and killed the erudite dozens of times. Never was Kerra Ridge listed in the faction messages - the only positive listed was "Heretics".
Recently I went to Kerra Ridge to try for the Spahi - to discover that I was indifferent, and was allowed to do the Kerran Toy Quest, the Fishing Pole Quest, and The Sharptooth Quest.
I've since returned to Threatening after killing the princess and the Spahi a few times (My Warrior loves the Cat O' Nine Tails BTW).
Just wondered if it was possible that killing that NICE erudite gave a positive faction bump, without telling me.

I completed the Gnome Tinker Toy quest and it raised my KerraIsle faction.
The Gnome Tinker Toy (LORE ITEM NO DROP) is located in Steamfont Mountains on Nilits Contraption a semi-rare spawn near the Mino Caves. You give it to one of the smaller Kerran children (I gave it to the one on the left). They are located in a hut near the wall approx north from the first pier. The hut has a caldron with what looks like a human torso in it. In return for the Gnome Tinker Toy you get a Kerran Toy (LORE ITEM NO DROP; AC 3, AGI +2; Usable by everyone) that you put in your Range Weapon slot.
Myself , being an Erudie Paladin , and choosing Prexus as my deity , found it odd that i was conned amiable to the Kerrans . . seems * fishy *
previously reading up before i made my character , i read that there was some hatred by the Kerrans towards us Erudites , so , i stayed and hunted in Toxx ( blah ) for my first 10 levels ) to make sure i didnb't die on the boat if i had to return to Erud
You're talking about the kerrans on the isle in Erud's Crossing, which is NOT Kerra Isle, sorry. You get to Kerra Ridge/Isle by swimming out from the dock in Toxxilia Forest. Don't know if they're even on the same faction as the ones in Erud's Crossing.
They are DEFINITELY not on the same faction table. The ones on the little island in Erud's crossing are amiable to me, but the other day when i visited The zone of the kitties for the first time, i was deeply KOS. (i'm a cazicite, that's probably why)

I have heard to kill the erudite emissaries out in Tox Forest. A druid friend of mine said this worked for him when he needed to complete the paw quest. I searched for them and found none. But I would imagine that this drastically lowers faction with erudites.
Killing the wharf rats and turning in the sharp tooth they drop to Thalith Mamluk at the end ot the pier will raise your Kerra Isle faction with NO MINUS anywhere else and give you a magic necklace too! The rats put up quite a fight and the ones that conned blue to my 19th level druid usually took me down 3 bubbles of life.
Yea, killing probably any erudite will raise faction with these cats. I am planning on doing so in order to complete the Kejaar Test quest. Note that this will lower faction with erudites, so after youve done what you needed to do at kerra isle, you might wanna kill a couple of cats to raise faction with erudites again. Ill post my results.

That won't work. You'd have to kill heretics or kobolds to raise Erudite faction, and if you need to enter the palace, you'd have to kill Elial Brook.
Somehow this faction is associated with the Herectics faction. The first time I went there Ive been indiff as I wanted to go their a second time I killed Elial Brook so I dont have to swim. This time I conned apprehen to them.
