Faction Bone Turn in Mozo (for monks)

My human monk took about 19 stacks of 100 bone chips to get to non KOS. Mozo used to rotate and see someone sneaking to turn in bone chips (Field of Bones). Lately I have not seen min turn to see me sneaking in near 2000 bone chip turn-ins. (note: one chip per slot 4 total per turn in)

Also the easiest way to get to mazo is POK to Calbis POK stone, use a cloady potion to position yourself in Mozo's right side (corner near golden urn) press sneak then give him a bone to check distance.

I did not have any of the other mobs that walk bu agro on me while turning in the above mentioned number of bones. Also expect agro when you leave and the sneak fails once you get some distance away from mozo (so have FD ready) Never tried to use a cloudy potion to leave.

I got a good faction hit for the Swifttails when I killed Brother Balatin in the Dreadlands. He was a skeleton that agroed on me. He was sitting on one of the pyramids at the super huge wizzie teleport place. I also got a faction loss with CombineEmpire. No clue yet as to what/who that is.

I'm obviously missing something here. Faction is obviously important, but why? Can anyone explain.

Puzzled.

Faction is important for three reasons. One, the better your faction the better the prices will be when you buy and sell from a merchant of that faction. If your faction is too low, the merchant won't buy or sell with you. Second, faction prevents mobs from attacking you on sight, something that is always nice especially when buying supplies or traveling through their city to get to other zones can save lots of time. Thirdly, most quests involve to some degree faction. For most quests you have to be looked on at least indifferent for the NPC to give quests or accept items for one. Some quests require even higher faction, some class specific ones may require amiable faction. In short, if you want to do quests, buy or sell, or not get attacked then faction is a big deal.
