on roleplay here why do you even bother try and get into cabilisss? it's our home. our other older home which is sssebilis was destroyed and we made a new one. leave sssoftssskins.
hehe now out of roleplay a word to the wise if u plan on getting in cab DON'T. You must first deal with troopers, then the crusaders then the necromancers. the crusaders are indifferent to me and i'm ALLY to the troopers. I'v done plenty of killing in fob and i started at indiff faction with crusaders and still AM indifferent. While i went from amiable to ally with troopers. Also the merchant faction is another thing to deal with. In East Cabilis it's like merchant **** for anything but a iksar. So you got alot of factions to raise

Easy for a Necro though. I spent three or four evenings killing mobs in FoB and Warslik Woods, then a couple of thousand bone chip hand-ins ('Flesh to Bone' is your friend here), then an Iksar illusion potion and spamming faction-raising dialog for the Iksar Necros.

Merchants won't sell to me and some of the Crusaders are still threatening, but I can go most places in Cabilis without being killed and do the Necro skullcap quests. Another thousand or so bone-chips and I'd be non-KoS everywhere.

Selyth,

If you haven't found this place yourself, I've found that the tunnels between WW and LOIO is a nice place to hunt bandit iksars for Brood Faction.

I'm also a 56 SK. I ran through the tunnels killing everything in site. Then to avoid waiting for respawning I followed the zone line west to the small lake at the end of the river. There are 6 iksar to kill here. Then I followed the river until I came to a building, there are 6 iksar here to kill. Next I ran almost directly north where I came upon the bandit lord's house with 3 iksar in it to kill. Sometimes the Bandit Lord was there too. Then the cave was respawned. The cave is the slowest respawn of the 4 hotspots, so you can almost leave it out, running from lake, to house, to house. I got my Brood faction from Scowling to Dubious in about 4 hours. Not too shabby. All the mobs conned green at 56, even the Bandit Lord. Hope this helps some of you.

Faction Quest Cabalis
# Jun 19 2001 at 9:45 PM Rating: Decent
2 posts
Have just started ; turned in so far
228 bone chips
24 watcher torches
44 Hatchling Brains

all seem equal in faction gains, the bone chip quest is easiest to haul BUT beware,
They have changed the SK path so he breaks left now right in front of Trooper Mozo.
It is within con range (or is for me even behing mozo)
So you have to zip in do 6-8 minutes worth then get out as soon as you see the first Crusader returning

Hope that helps; I apparently have some thousands to go....

The crusaders walk directly out the middle of the entrance and cut left. If you stand kinda near the corner you can safely trade with him all day long. Just beware of newbie Iksars who decide to bring friends back to town with them, causing the crusader to leave his set path. I have turned in lots of chips, and faction hasn't hardly moved =\ time to go AE goblins or something =)

Banking/Crusaders
# Feb 23 2001 at 8:59 PM Rating: Default
I believe I have read all the posts regarding this subject and have yet to read of any non-Iksar Players being able to bank in East Cabilis.
I have handed in about 4400 bone chips (27 backpacks) and as a result have the Troopers at Amiable, the Crusaders at Dubious, and cannot bank.
It was pointed out in another post, that there used to be faction caps so if "Legion of Cabilis" (Troopers) were maxed, "Cabilis Residents" (Merchents/Bankers)would increase no further if one was using the Bone Chip Quest to increase factions. That person advised that the cap had been removed in a patch.
At my current faction levels, Crusader Cotat will still attack on sight, and the bankers yell for help when approached.

Questions:
1. Has any non-Iksar achieved the level of faction with Crusaders where all are non-argo?
2. Has any non-Iksar been able to bank in East Cabilis?
3. If the answer to questions 1 & 2 are yes, is it just a matter of handing in 30,40, or 50 backpacks of bone chips?

1. I am a troll sk of Innuruuk and I am warmly to the crusaders.
2. Yes, I can bank in Cabilis...old women still clutch their handbags as I go by, but they no longer attack me as I am making a deposit, and, no, I still can't buy from most merchants though there is a shammie merchant I can buy from at the guild building for sk/shm.
3. I turned in about 80 stacks of bonechips before the explorer knife quest became available again. If you don't mind ruining your FV faction this is a quicker way to get your faction built up. It still takes a lot of time to get to a point where you can discuss the finer points of thermaldynamics with Lord Qyzar, but at least thousands of skeletons don't have to lose their lives.

Not sure, but I think I'll be finding out now that I am sure that turning in Watcher Torches does indeed raise crusader faction.
I have a Human Wizard that is merely dubious to troopers inside and outside of Cabilis. But still KoS to Crusaders at this point.

First off Verant removed the faction cap a few patches back so you can now raise your faction with these guys by questing or with the troopers by killing mobs even if you used to not get faction from doing so. Second off the bone chips quest along with watcher torches, sarnak brains, scorpion pincers, etc all give the same factions it's just that bone chips are stackable and you can even turn them in 16 at a time by dropping stacks of 4 in all four trade slots with the trooper, this makes it the preferred quest for such a huge faction change.

All the guards with names Trooper something along with the Warrior NPCs are on Legion of Cabilis faction.
All the guards with names Crusader something EXCEPT Quarg along with all the Shadow Knight NPCs are on Crusaders of Greenmist faction.
Crusader Quarg and all the Shaman NPCs are on Scaled Mystics faction, you can tell Quarg is with the shaman because he is part of one of their quests even though he IS a shadow knight.
Swifttails is the faction of all the Monk NPCs
Brood of Kotiz is the Necromancers in West Cabilis along with a few Iksar NPCs in East Cabilis.

Troopers can be raised by killing Sarnak and Goblins in many Kunark Zones.
Brood of Kotiz can be raised by killing outcast/forsaken/etc iksars in many Kunark Zones.
The rest can only be raised with quests, the best source for this being the bone chips quest in Field of Bone.

additionally, the bonechip quest is the safest to complete (although dangerous) because your crusader faction is going to be agro for a really long time. All the quests but the bonechip quest have Crusaders patroling near the guy you turn in the items too. The bonechip quest can be completed with relative safety if you stand on the opposite side of the quest NPC from the Crusader patrol route. Just beware of people training to the guards since the Crusaders would then deviate from their normal pathing.

Ive done the bone quest till i no longer receive faction with the crusaders and i still am kos, is there any mob that you can kill to up the crusader faction ? if so i need to die at their hands so that crusader faction can get null once more any ideas?
RE: quaff
# Dec 06 2000 at 11:47 PM Rating: Default
When this happens does it mean you can no longer get faction at all or just from this quest? There is another quest in WW were you give watcher torches to Captain Gidean. Its alot slower then bone chips but it might be another way. Also, you can kill forsaken Iksars, pariahs, bandits, brigands, etc., to gain Brood of Kotiz faction, which is the Iksar Necro Guild. I beleive the sarnak brains quest in the Necromancer guild gives Crusader faction also.
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 30 2000 at 2:15 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well, I am in the same boat as you are, I no longer receive faction with Crusaders of Greenmist, I maxed it out with bone chips. I have heard that only Iksar classed characters can get higher faction. And by my experiences and me being a cleric, I would assume this as true.
RE: quaff
# Nov 20 2000 at 11:17 AM Rating: Default
No mob moves crusader faction. You must turn in unreal amounts of bone chips before you see results. about 20 backpacks completely full of bones to move faction 1 level with crusaders.
faction stuff
# Oct 10 2000 at 2:05 AM Rating: Good
I managed to get non-kos to crusaders today via bone chips quest on my de necro. For some strange reason crusader quarg always coned one level more favorably just a little quicker than any other crusader.. very strange.

I had killed sarnaks til dubious with legion of cabilis and then began working on faction via the bone chip quest. Troopers were amiable before crusaders were threatening so the bone chip quest moves crusader faction very little. No doubt I've turned in a few thousand bone chips. I lost count of how many full backpacks I turned in... many many. maybe 40 packs? At the moment, my de necro's factions are:

legion of cabilis: kindly (higher than my iksar's heh)
crusaders of greenmist: dubious (finally - and crusader quarg is apprehensive)
swifttails: apprehensive (I can buy/sell from 1 npc in the monk guild)
merchants/residents: dubious (so still no banking yet)
scaled mystics: dubious
brood of kotiz: scowling

So my cabilis necro faction (brood of kotiz) I still need to work on, since there are no quests that move this faction that I've seen. Unfortunately there are 3 npcs on this faction in West Cabilis (bank zone), or I'd just avoid them. Two of them right next to the bank.. outside and to the right if you're facing the bank - near 2 kloks. The Haggle Barron is also on that faction. Brood of Kotiz faction, as you could look up yourself on this site, can be improved by killing a few different iksar mobs.

Whew.. theres some info for ya hope it helps.

How to Raise Faction with this group of Shadowknights?
# Sep 18 2000 at 3:13 PM Rating: Decent
Does anybody have any idea on this?

As a Dwarven Paladin who feels the need to evangelize the people of Cabilis to the side of the Light, preferably without getting killed, I was wondering what could raise your faction with the evil Crusaders of Greenmist.

I've been killing lots of Sarnak and Goblins, both enemies of the Iksar people generally, but not specifically of the Crusaders it seems.

Thanks to any who might have ideas here.

The bone chip quest in the Field of bone works as well. After you are dubious to the troopers (legion of cabilis faction) you can begin giving 4 bone chips to to Trooper Mozo. Be careful of the crusaders that roam from the gate out into the field and back.

I've been told that to get to dubious with the crusaders takes about 2000 bone chips, I've been told this by a dark elf and also a high elf.

I believe the torch quest in warsliks woods will improve crusaders of greenmist as well, but the bone chips are much easier to loot and carry than the torches from goblin watchers or the sarnak brains.

Check the Quest section of http://everquest.allakhazam.com and do a search of the quests based on faction. There is a sarnak hatchling brain quest that raises faction with this group. You have to turn in 4 brains to Warlord Geot in the Lake of Ill Omen.

The easiest way to do this is to group with an Iksar. Have the Iksar turn in the bone chips, sarnak brains, or scorpion pincers. All three will boost your faction with all the cabilis groups.
