For all those lowbie Rangers that think it's cool to go chase sown the fairies in Gfay and kill them, think again.
I am a Ranger in my 31st season and I am KoS to the little buggers. Now I can't get my Orc Impaler and I can get my Raincaller. So please, do not track down the fairies of Blessed Tunare, even if you are a worshiper of Karana.

Uhhh...why is everyone worried about having bad Fairy Faction? I do not understand why it matters to so many?

The Faeries are scattered throughout G'Fay.
There is, however, a Faerie "City" in L'Fay. It is in the Northwest Corner of the zone approx. pos 1100 pos 3700.
It is guarded by Gearheart. He is a tough kill for me to solo as Lvl 30 PAL. If I bring a friend though, I can collect all the dust I need. There is no Faerie Faction decrease for killing GearHeart. So about anyone can assist you in killing GearHeart.
I looted 7 Faerie Dusts in an hour there.

I helped a friend kill Gearheart today and got a faerie faction hit, so I suppose they might have changed it in a recent patch.

Im on a quest for the Soil of Underfoot and I am to return (4) faerie dust. I have tried using pixie dust but it fails. Is there a place in LFay or GFay that the faeries hang out and sharpen their little knives. I hung around the pixie and brownie place in LFay but no faeries! Please help.

Right by the pixie and brownie place is the Faerie place, there are millions. Attack one and you have like 10 royal guards on ya. Smooth move.

only one way is known to raise faction, and you have to be non-kos to them, and able to sneak up behind them and do the part of the raincaller quest that requires you return a glimmering wing from a gnome that is bald in Akanon. This is obviously not a help to those that are kos now, but it was a lifesaver for those of us rangers that had become dubious for the sake of the dust. You can still complete the quest if you sneak up from behind, and con her one more time before you hand the wing to her. she will turn around, so dont even bother hailing her. only works if she cant see or hear you.

Another creature should be added to that list, and that is the robot cognogon, cause i used him to practice my skills and everytime i killed him there was a faction hit against fairies, so if there is a way to make your faction with the better, i would be extremely interested, cause i can't go anywhere they are without being attacked by them. you can either post here or send me an e-mail care of dejavan@aol.com

There is one time I have seen my faction increase with fairie...only it's part of the raincaller quest, ranger only bow. This thing's a real pain, I didn't complete it til level 53 and the earliest I've seen it done is maybe level 40, and you have to have at least decent faction with the fairies, and it's only a minor hit at that. So good luck with this one, you're gonna need it =P

I helped a friend kill fairie guards in Lesser Faydark so that he could get the dust for the Armour of Ro quest. Now they hate me, and so does their little clockwork gnome friend. How do I fix this faction?
