Classes: The Druid

Druids - a powerful outdoor class. With the triple ability to heal, inflict direct damage and cast damage over time, druids are a popular solo class, as well as popular in a group. They are also a travelling class, given both sow and teleportation abilities.

How should you play your druid to make the best use of his abilities? What are the best solo strategies? How should the druid be played within a group? What spells are the most and least useful? What skills should you develop?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Druid and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

Returning to EQ and Lvl 54
#1 Feb 15 2007 at 4:23 AM Rating: Decent
I left EQ a couple of years ago because I couldn't afford the fees at the time. I'm now a bit better off and tempted :-D

I assume that my characters are still there (Sony told me they don't delete inactive characters and accounts); certainly my station login is still working.
If they're not I won't be back since I was about 90% of the way through the druid epic back then - including the horrid Tainted Baracuda and Seahorse and Venril Sathir (LONG camp)

Anyways, my primary was at the time a lvl 54, hovering on 55 after a nasty encounter in the Plane of Nightmares.

Can anyone suggest some good zones for soloing at around that level? I prefer root/rot over charming after a couple of nasty turns with PoN ravens. LOL.

I'd also need to build up some cash so suggestions for those would be welcome also.

I guess I'd be soloing as the main guilds only seem to be open to high levels these days.

Is the game totally dominated by long-time high flyers, or are there still plenty of newish players around? I was just starting to have fun with a new Warrior, just as a break from a soloing caster game.

I was on Saryn, and also in the UK, which wasn;t great, should I contemplate moving to a UK server?

Lastly, I only have the expansions up to Planes, although getting the rest isn't a problem. Are they only downloadable? Amazon - specially in the UK - don't seem to sell CD versions, and we never got that nice Titanium box.
Thanks in advance.
