Classes: The Cleric

Clerics -- the premier healer in the game. A popular class for any group, the cleric brings the ability to heal the party and keep you from dying, and can even bring you back from death at higher levels.

What is the best way to play a cleric? Can a cleric be soloed, and if so how? How should you play a cleric in a group? What spells are the best ones to buy and develop? what skills should a cleric concentrate on? What items should you seek out?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Cleric and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

Not that I am an expert or anything... but I have noticed that the Aegolism line (Temp, Aegolism, Virtue, Conviction, Tenacity, Temerity, and probably Gallantry) do not stack with the Symbols line and will overwrite both the Symbols line and the Ward line. The Symbols line and the Ward line give better stats but take up two spell slots and do not last as long as the Aegolism line. This has caused a great many players to ask for the Aegolism line of spells rather than the Symbols and Ward line of spells. Symbols also stack with the druid Protection line and a line that shamans have. I have not learned my spells well enough to answer you or help more than this at this time.

You are correct on that. It important to know that symbol stacks with druid and shaman like hp buffs. Why is this important??? Druid and shaman lines give extra stats along with hp. Druid lines at 70+ also give mana regen and shaman line gives attack bonus. So if your grouped with a class that could benifit from these additions its good to allow them to keep those buffs (non raid situations).
