So I'm planning to start eq, and was wondering with all these new expansion what to start off as my first char once again. Starting from scratch lvl 1 and from their on. Anyone have any suggestions on what class I should start off with money wise, level wise, and leveling wise solo or group either is fine. Please and thank you all for your tabs. Your biggest challenge starting off from scratch as a Paladin or Warrior is that the three tank classes (these two and Shadowknights) are as gear needy as it gets. As a tank who's taking all the hits you live and die by the gear, and starting fresh causes platinum to be rather limited, adding a bit more difficulty to growing your toon.
Now if these are the classes you are really interested in don't ditch them just for that reason, it can be worked through with effort.

ah I see, thanks for the info on tanks =D, I'ma still stick with it, but both are gear dependant. Would a pally be more needy of plat since it has spells, or about the same since warriors have tombs? I had a back up choice which was the druid class abillity to solo. but the tank class still interests me. =]
