Classes: The Paladin

Paladins - Icons of Virtue. The paladin combines the strength and battle prowess of a fighter with the healing and buffing of a cleric.

What is the best strategy for developing your paladin? Can a paladin be soloed, and if so, how? How should you play your paladin within a group? What skills should you concentrate on developing? What spells are most useful, and least useful? What armor and weapons should your paladin be seeking out?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Paladin and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

Had about the same happen against a warrior friend when both of us were in the 60s, the warrior would just continuously burn heal potions when needed (what a waste hehe) and I was healing of course.

I think it took us about 10 minutes of this to realize the complete pointlessness of this and another 5-10 for us to wait and see who would be the first to want to call it quits.

I think I could have won purely on the basis of having both a mana pool for heals and my own stock of heal potions that would have outlasted the warriors, but what a waste, and I don't know if i could have spared the sanity for another hour of that. =)

Yeah, when heals and buffs are about the only spells that are even of use to you for that long it gets a bit dull.

I always thought that if skelly illusions actually made players count as undead, things would suddenly get way, way too interesting.

LOL, I had the same thing happen to me with a warrior. Heal pot after heal pot, I finally said the hell with it and quit. He told everyone in the guild we was in that he beat me and kept patting himself on the back. Then I asked him how much it cost and he said about 3k:) Everyone got a good chuckle from it. But far as a real fight, Me and an old SK friend of mine used to go at it for quite awhile back in the day. He was a tough cookie to take down for sure.
