Classes: The Shadowknight

Shadowknights - The evil warriors. A combination of fighter and necromancer, the shadowknight is a complex class to develop and play correctly.

What is the best strategy to develop and play your shadowknight? Can the shadowknight solo, and if so how? How should you play a shadowknight in a group? What skills and spells are the most and least useful for the shadowknight? What items should you be seeking for your shadowknight?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Shadowknight and read, rate and comment on what others have to say

I've played a Druid for 7 years and have finally decided to make my first Alt which is a SK. My primary goal with my SK is to be a good tank in groups and raids. Having played the part of a healer and DPS'er (lol did I just make up a word) for so many years I know the importance of the tank maintaining aggro. I am looking for some advise on this.

Currently my SK is level 51. When engaged with a mob I repeatedly use combination of my terror spell and snare spell to maintain aggro. Also, throughout my leveling process I've worked on my taunt skill and I repeatly hit my taunt hot button when engaged with mobs. I'm looking for some advice on how I can refine my methods. Thanks much.

Check out evilgamer.net
It is THE sk class board.

Until you hit 60ish and get the new terror (discord? whatever the OoW+ one is) use clinging darkness and the level 9 fear. Best mana efficient agro combo you can get until the real terrors. Fear is for non damage agro as well, but only on mobs over 49. Otherwise it might actually land and make them run. Clinging just because it's cheap cast for the same agro as any snare. You can spam your strongest snare if you want.
Using taunt to raise skill is fine, but when grouped, only use it when the mob isn't on you, to insure that it's up when you need it. It's not doing anything for you until then.
The most important thing:
shielding (until cap of 35) > avoidance (until cap of 100) > ac > hp

Runes and rune type spells are good for ae agro (if you are the one casting it)
But our only ones are diamond skin and stoneskin I think? Once you get a rune proc'ing weapon or aug, you will notice a huge difference.
