I am making an Ogre SK to be a full on tank but also be able to solo. I know that I should put points into stam but what else should I put points into??
AGI more than STA in my opinion. It affects your Armor Class and is one of the hardest stats to get to the cap.
New tanks and non-tanks often focus on Hit Points, which STA affects. It's looked at as a glory stat. Yes, more HP means you can take more damage before you die. That doesn't mean you will live longer though. Being able to take more damage should come about 3rd place in your priorities. Your survivability depends most on taking less damage, not taking more. If you sacrifice AC for HP you will actually die faster unless it was an enormous hp boost over the ac loss.
Not taking damage at all is preferred, which is called Avoidance. AGI helps these abilities like Dodge as well as boosting AC.
Taking less damage when you do get hit is your 2nd best option, which is called Mitigation. The higher your AC is the better chance the mob will not hit you for full damage. Try comparing the average damage per hit in 2 fights, one with and one without a good AC shield.
Tanks usually consider 1ac = 5hp when considering gear upgrades. It's that much more important. Really.
