Classes: The Shadowknight

Shadowknights - The evil warriors. A combination of fighter and necromancer, the shadowknight is a complex class to develop and play correctly.

What is the best strategy to develop and play your shadowknight? Can the shadowknight solo, and if so how? How should you play a shadowknight in a group? What skills and spells are the most and least useful for the shadowknight? What items should you be seeking for your shadowknight?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Shadowknight and read, rate and comment on what others have to say

As race is largely irrelevant in the current environemt, yes, this is fine. You might find yourself dealing with STA/STR issues early, but nothing severe as long as you plan out your development.

I have a lvl 50 Dark Elf SK on Povar. She started out to be an alt for my shammy and is now my main character. The strength and stamina are issues when you first start. Decent gear takes care off that as do shammy/druid buffs when you get a little higher up. I found that aside from being a hated race I have enjoyed this character more than any other. I also found that for me she leveled far easier than any other class I have played.

The real thing to think about is how you want to play. I play my sk as a true hybrid, using equally spells and fighting abilities. This may or may not be the reason for the enjoyment and the fast leveling....

I only have one complaint about the DE SK. Its THIS.

Can you say, "Resistance is futile, prepair to be assimulated?" For some reason, a lot of the helmet pics for DE's are really stupid.

/Rant off

All that matters is that you have fun with your character. I have a 46 Dark Elf SK and he rocks! When I'm in a group, my STR is maxed out and I have enough HP and AC to be a good tank. So just be the race that you like best!!

I love being a Darkelf SK also. It was hard at first but I managed to get some good gear and got my str and sta over 100. Joining a guild will also help in terms of gear. The newbie armor quests were quite easy. And I don't know about you guys but I love the graphic of our helms!

i love being a DE SK, never had a problem with gear. for the most part it all looks good. except the plate helm for females. it sucks. i won't use a helm no matter how good it is, if it has a graphic. they are absolutely ugly.
